Our new GM has stated publicly that they aren't even taking calls on Freeman, so if he gets traded, we'll have every right to bitch.

If we're keeping Freeman, we're probably done with any big moves for a while. Really, Teheran is the only other piece we have left that we could get good value for other than Inciarte, and I don't want to trade him before he even plays.

I don't want to get rid of Inciarte but I wouldn't be shocked if we move him too, seems several teams are very interested in him. The FA market is probably gonna be the thing to keep our eye on throughout the upcoming season into next season as far as big moves go. We should have the payroll flexibility to make a splash when it's all said and done.

Dan Uggla is off the books now. After this season we'll be rid of Bourn's and Swisher's big money, we'll have money to spend.

If we're blown away by an offer, I won't mind seeing anyone get traded. I hope we keep Inciarte, but if there's an offer we can't refuse, at this point, we have to take it.

Was just about to post that.

They plan on converting into around a 28-30,000 seat stadium. It'll be good for them. It's an upstart program that made their first bowl game this season, but 20,000 people scattered throughout the Georgia Dome isn't a great atmosphere. It'll serve them well, and I'm glad Turner Field won't be demolished and turned into a housing project which was what I assumed would become of it.

Alexi Ogando signed to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.

He'll likely make our opening day bull pen.

It's official. Braves sign Kelly Johnson to a 1 year deal.

When we signed Kelly Johnson, Joey Terdoslavich was put on waivers and was claimed by the Orioles. At one point Terdo was said to be Chipper's replacement, but it never worked out that way. Maybe a change of scenery will help out his career.

At this point, I think we should keep Teheran unless you want the rotation to be Bud Norris and 4 rookies.

We might not be competitive this year, but we need some semblance of a recognizable player.

mlbtraderumors says we're interested in signing Cespedes. Just don't see it happening. Plus, we'd have to either trade Inciarte or Markakis or move Olivera back to third where he should be anyways to get Mallex Smith on the field in the majors.

Yeah. I have a hard time believing that to be credible. Considering every move has been stripping the team to nothing, it would make little sense signing Cespedes. That's a win now type of move
