I think your fan base is so used to success that it's hard to be patient.

Agree. I know I've been preaching patience ever since the Dwightmare trade blew up because I saw what the Lakers were left with. All things considered, I think the Lakers have done a solid job in at least creating some hope for the future.

But I also have to admit that sometimes, with what I'm used to as a lifelong Lakers fan, it's hard to practice what I've been preaching.

I just have a serious bro-mance with Whiteside and think he could be our next great center.

He probably will be.

His game is nice. It his head that I'm worried about.

In this summer's crop of free agents, I'd probably go with him or Horford.

Noah is chronically broken.....So, just say :hellno:

I think with the right coach....Whiteside will be fine. And Cousins is somebody who is considered to be a headcase but most people would want him.

Yeah, I've got a mancrush on Noah, but with his injury issues, I wouldn't want the Lakers to go after him unless it was for a lower amount. He would be good as a role player to add some veteran depth after the Lakers have already acquired a top FA or 2.

Choosing between Horford and Whiteside would be tough, imo. Horford is proven, steady and still young enough to be signed to a long term deal. Whiteside though, is 3 years younger and has a bigger upside, but I worry about his maturity.

I'm probably more reluctant to label something as a flop than anyone... but this flop by JJ just takes it to a whole new level.

I like Noah too.

But, Dude is fragile.

It's gonna be interesting to see what happens with the Bulls this Summer.

Pau is gonna have some options. So, they are gonna have to open up their wallet.

For Teams that whiff on Durant, there are still quality guys out there...

Horford, Whiteside, Pau, Howard, Parsons, Conley.....etc

Gonna be a fun Summer....

Unless a few of these guys go to the Spurs or Warriors.

Then it will be just epic sadness....:poke:

Says who?

Just read an article about it. The article doesn't think there's much more to it than the Lakers dangling him out there to see if someone makes an insane offer for him.

The one's that appear to truly be on the trade block are Hibbert, Swaggy P and Bass.

Agreed.

Imo....pg and sf are the 2 toughest positions to play in the NBA right now.

You gotta grade Russell on the curve when you remember his competition.

A rookie is not gonna look great going against Parker, Paul, Westbrook, Curry, Conley, Wall, Kyrie....just to name a few.
If I remember correctly Curry had a similar look in his first few seasons. Playing next to Monta-who had already established his game by then- didn't help Curry like some thought it would. But, the FO could see the talent in Curry and kept him. BEST decision in hindsight.

Medina says that the Lakers want to keep D'Angelo. I haven't seen anyone on the Lakers beat say anything about dangling him out there. Questionable source for sure.

I'm not mad at that list-although I like Bass' toughness.
Swaggy P- I was really upset they gave in to his demands last summer and paid him almost $5 mil when the season before he was only making just over $1 mil. I'm sorry, he's never been worth that since he's been a Laker. :nono:
