It is still very early but nice to see Miami ranked 2nd in defense
its the same old miami team with the slow pace- not giving up a lot of points but not scoring a lot of points 2nd in points allowed 24th in points

for all those promises of an up tempo offense Miami is 29th in FGA per game in the NBA- 2nd last

:wtf: Reggie Jackson starts and is the second best player on the team.

View attachment 50651
Comes off the bench on a team that already has 3 other capable big men.

Again :wtf:
has Reggie Jackson ever been the 2nd best player during the playoffs on a team that got 2 wins from an NBA championship? No?

Our 2nd team plays very quickly, starters are not so much because Dragic is lost so far.

Anyway, way to keep searching for Heat negatives.

Any reason why you haven't mentioned team rebounding, Bosh averaging 18-10 despite having a few bad games, and the dominance of Whiteside which you claimed was prob a fluke?

i didnt say it was a negative- obviously being #2 in defense is an accomplishment no matter how slow your offense is- and i have made multiple posts in the last couple weeks saying how well whiteside is playing

your acting VERY sensitive because you said during hte offseaosn we were going to see a Heat team that pushed the ball and picked up the pace- and you were wrong and now your butt hurt about it.

8th in OFF EFF. Last year they were 22nd.

3rd in DEF EFF. Last year they were 19th.

Yes the pace is still slow but pretty obvious the defense is much better. DEF EFF & OPP PPG IMO are the 2 best ways to judge a defense. Miami is currently ranked 3rd in both statistics. Teams are currently shooting 41% against us which is really good. OPP PPG is overrated which is why I prefer to use DEF & OPP PPG to judge the top defensive teams. If you can't see the defense is better you're pretty clueless.

I never suggested or thought they would race up and down the court.
I said I thought they would try to play at a quicker pace, which they do.
I also said that Dragic has looked lost so far, and he was one of the main reasons in my thought process.

As far as sensitive, or butt hurt, neither applies.
For the most part I enjoy watching this team, particularly the 2nd unit with Tyler ( who you said was garbage when actually he's going to be very good, and Winslow who I expected little out of but am seeing a lot).

In the end, stats mean nothing.
It's W's and L's that matter, and you know my expectations were very mixed.

We pretty have won the ones I thought we could/would with the only exception being the Pacers..and that really didn't shock me at all.

15,11, & 4 for Whiteside this season.

What's his mpg? Not that high right?

Plus, he's stayed away from most stupid fouls, and he's stayed level headed for the most part while opponents continue to try to get under his skin.

He's gonna get that payday next year.
He's a monster.

I guess I could have googled.
Sorry for being lazy.
I know he's sat a ton because the small ball has looked good for us a few times.

I think he would look good in a Lakers uniform next season. They'll have plenty of cap space available.

Adorable. He was the second best player on a team that saw two out of its three good players get hurt. Therefore, he should be paid like he's a starter.

Is that really your argument? Jackson may not live up to the expectations of the contract, but at least its feasible that he could. Until Jennings comes back he is also indispensable. The neither of which can be said of Thompson, whose skill set can be found in just about every draft.

But you know what? Since you're a division rival, I'd prefer you saddle yourselves with bad contract, it'll only help us down the road.

Windhorst said he thought Kyrie would play before Thanksgiving yesterday- siad he would already be playing if there was any urgency but there isnt.

Will be VERY INTERESTING to see who wins the bet. Its gonna be close

Having Mo Williams play as brilliantly as he has certainly does not speed up the urgency thats for sure- and as far as that goes Delly has played very very well too.

Cavs have had a pretty easy schedule thus far- playing the Sixers twice en route to their 7-1 record.

Of course, with all the injuries- Kyrie, Shump, Moz still a little slow from his knee, Love coming back from shoulder surgery, Varejao coming back from his achilles, JR missing the last few games, and considering the Cavs started last year 19-20 - its encouraging to see them put up some wins early.

The team just looks SOOO much more relaxed and sure of itself and confident this year. At times last year- especially in November and December, they looked out of sync.

Mo Williams and Richard Jefferson both look like very solid signings. Jefferson has played very well. Mo has played GREAT.

just saying from you:

Starting 5 will play at a fast pace.
That's what they are preaching, and that's what Dragic was wanting and told would happen.
Bosh can run, especially if he doesn't need to pretend he's going to rebound.
Wade is still great in the open court.
