Tristan's numbers would look terrific if he wasn't making 80 mil.

Did you see this article?

Makes Blatt look like a straight Bitch and Bron look like a Diva.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...13qUrlKIxha4svDtg&sig2=c5uWg4dGUIP06Yc2jPQiVw
and yes Mecca...lol...80 million is alot for a guy whos only ELITE skills is rebounding.

Gotta admit that he is developing a nice pick and roll game though- and his defense is improving. I know that in a perfect world Thompson only gets like 12-13 million a year- but its just what the market is right now...its just crazy like that.

I have to say this though. Anderson Varejao has turned himself into a pretty solid offensive player. I will tell ya- early in his career- HOPELESS- hopeless at the hoop, hopeless taking any kind of jumper...maybe could finish a little bit in the pick and roll- thats it. He worked his ass off though and is pretty slick around the basket now, has a pretty confident 15 footer, and runs a really good pick and roll with Bron or Kyrie.

I really hope Thompson takes a page out of Andys book and develops like that. IF he could develop a 15 footer to keep the defense honest, and continues to work on that pick and roll game where maybe he can finish in situations where its just not possible to dunk, keeps working on that little hook- he can become an efficient scorer that gets 10-12 a game.

I mean- with Kyrie, Love and LeBron- Thompson NEVER has to be a guy who they run plays for. EVER. ESpecially not with other guys like Mo Williams, Mozgov, JR, etc. who all are talented scorers. Thompson just needs to develop into a guy the defense cannot afford to ignore, and finishes with shoots with a high efficiency. He NEEEEDS to shoot over 50% and really he ShOULD be shooting over 55%.

Thompson played 27 minutes a game last year- and that was with Andy being out most of the year, and the Cavs getting Mozgov at about the halfway point. Its doubtful he gets 30 minutes a game. He just needs to continue working on his game- rebounding like crazy like he did tonight when the game was still close, and try and be efficient. If he does all that he will earn his paycheck.

are you seriously this idiotic?

SAy LeBron didnt come back- and stayed in Miami

Making some assumptions that you HAVE to make to make any kind of reasoned prediction I could EASILY see a Cavs team like this:

PG- Kyrie Irving
SG- Andrew Wiggins
SF- Gordon HEyward (or something like that- a max slot guy)
PF- Tristan Thompson
C- Timofy Mozgov (especially with Blatt here who loved him in Russia)

bench- Jarret Jack, Dion Waiters, Tyler Zeller, Anderson Varejao---

Now that is not a title contender right now-- but it could CERTAINLY grow into a pretty damn good team.

and your being a total jackass to say its blind luck. I mean- the CAVS TRADED FOR the pick that became Kyrie Irving. Spent a ton of money. IF Kyrie is not drafted here- LeBrons not ocming back- and like I said- the Cavs got UNLUCKY in that their #2 slot only came in as #4 that year- but the Twolves NOT NEEDING A PG- and with Kyries toe injury EASILY could have passed and taken Derrick Williams and the Cavs still get Irving at 2.

So please man...your whining and trying to go back and rewrite history is kinda pathetic at this point.

The facts are that if Dan Gilbert was not incredibly willing to let Griffin and Grant take back a bunch of crap salary to get assets- that LeBron would still be in Miami.

Facts are that the Cavs have been a dumpster fire in most any season without James for decades.
You can list names, opinions and hypotheticals, but that doesn't change fact.

While Griffin credits James for convincing Jefferson to come to Cleveland, mutual interest between Jefferson and the team already had been expressed. "There wasn't that much of a sale," Jefferson says. "It was a no-brainer."

The same attraction existed in Washington with Jordan, says Haywood.

"We knew he was the GM also, that every guy on that roster was there because Michael wanted him there," Haywood says. "It was accepted because he was the greatest player ever and at 40 years old still outworked everybody."

I dont think that made Blatt look bad at all. What part did you think did? I mean- this whole notion that LeBron makes every decision just doesnt even make logistical sense.

"league executives say Griffin has earned James' trust by swinging the deals that landed center Timofey Mozgov, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith in January."

I mean- the Cavs without a doubt- before they pull the final trigger on the move go to LeBron- like they did in the Smith and Shumpert deal- as the story goes- Griffen went to LeBron and said that "We can get Shumpert- and I really like him- as hes a 2 guard that can play really good D and is a good fit- but we have to take Jr Smtihs contract and theres some concern about him"---- LeBron supposedly told Griffin that LeBron actually wanted Smith more than he wanted Shumpert- and to just get JR here and LeBron would take care of the rest.

and did you read all the mauevering they did for the Mozgov deal? Windhorst: How did the Cavs get Mozgov?

That shows some really crazy maneuvering and GM skills that are just not something that LeBron A. knows how to do- or is B. responsible for doing or C. would ever but his head in in the first place.

Like Haywood in the article describes- (who WAS haywood there in DC with Jordan? is Haywood that old? lol) and says of course when you have LeBron or Michael those guys are going to have a ton of control --when yo uhave guys that are once in a generation players that are absolute basketball genuiuses why would you NOT give that guy considerable power? If you DONT- you run the risk of pissing him off and he leaves and its over.

And Blatts a guy who has never even coached in the NBA before last year- that no one knew anything about. LeBron has NEVER been warm and is always rough on his coaches- from Silas to Mike Brown to Spoelstra--- LeBron is just not going to bow down to Blatt in that kind of a situation- Blatt is going to have to prove himself in the league. And Blatt had a lot to learn- but I think it was clear that during the playoffs last year LeBron at least STARTED to trust Blatt who did a pretty good job managing them through the injuries and turning them into a more defensive type team and adjusting well after losing Love and having a hobbled and then out Kyrie.

The part where he is afraid to critique Bron, the part where Lebron, allegedly, scrapped the Princeton offense, the part where Blatt gives the players instructions and they all look at Lebron before they comply, the fact that James can over rule his substitution of other players and that his teammates approach him to do so.....all make the Coach look like he has on stilletos, fish net stockings and crotchless panties....because he is Lebrons bitch.

Some of these statements are likely exaggerations by bitter ex players and coaches. But, it is pretty damning to hear nonetheless.

Where there's smoke.....

The Cavs bench has 8 points. They still suck.

I think its fair to point out that of the 3 top scorers off the cavs bench... 2 started and 1 was out with an injury.

Their bench doesn't suck. They're a huge part of the reason they're 4 - 1 despite several key injuries.

They are starters because of the injuries.....as of right now......the players coming off the bench.....suck.

I don't care how much of a homer you might be. To think the Cavs will ever go 73-9 is delusional. I mean we already knew you were delusional and never think you're wrong, but that's just going too far. Like I said before...you're the absolute worst kind of NBA fan.

He dunked on Aldridge a few nights ago.
WTF are you talking about? 73-9? are you on crack?

who is saying the Cavs bench sucks? are they out of their minds?

even with Shumpert and Kyrie out and JR and Mo in the starting lineup the Cavs still have a very strong bench.

Who the hell has better bench bigs than Tristan Thompson, Anderson Varejao, James Jones and Sasha Kaun? Chicago probably...anyone else? doubtful.- MAYBE San Antonio you could have an argument for.

Richard Jefferson has played extremely well and it looks like for the first time in ANY SEASON where LeBron is in Cleveland they actually have a guy who is a legit backup for him- plays solid D- shoots a very good 3pt % and still has the athleticism to make some really nice plays above the rim here and there.

and the back court- i mean Delly has looked GREAT thus far. In addition to the strides he took last post season - he picked up right where he left off. The other night he was the FIRST PLAYER SINCE 2012 TO come off the bench and have 10 or more assists with ZERO turnovers. Obviously Jared Cunnhingham is WAAY down the depth chart but he has shown some nice athleticism, ability to run the floor and play a little D.

I swear- when you are the favorites like the Cavs- and have LeBron- a LOT OF people are just naturally going to be haters. I dont understand how anyone with any lick of basketball sense could say the Cavs bench is not one of the better ones in the entire NBA.

I mean- IMAGINE when Kyrie and Shump get back and you just add Mo and JR to the bench as well. Mo Williams has looked GREAT. I LOVED that pass where he drove under the basket and just flipped it to a cutting LeBron for the slam- they ran that ALL The time way back when....plus Mo can shoot and spread the floor and make plays.

if someone is REALLY trying to question the Cavs bench after how a TON of those guys stepped up last year with the injuries to Love, Varejao and Kyrie- PLUS the new additions they have made - I mean- i dont know how to explain it besides it just being pure and simple haterade. lol

I NEVER predicted the Cavs would break the Bulls record.

If you remember- this was BEFORE LeBron even came back- when a bunch of total jackasses- ESPECIALLY DJ- and even you- said NO WAY was LeBron coming back- NOT ONLY did I call that- I ALSO Called Kevin Love coming to Clevland

This was at the time when MOST of the Cavs haters didnt even think KYRIE IRVING WOULD STAY.

I predicted Lebron would be back- Love would be here- Kyrie would sign up long term- and the Cavs would go on a historic run.

I never said the CAvs would eclipse the Bulls- I said they COULD approach 70 wins and be a historically great team. And I still believe that- I think at some point the Cavs will win 70. when I made that prediction of the Cavs getting 70 it was YEARS AGO when the Cavs were near the bottom of the lotto- and now look?!

Id say over all i FUCKING NAILED IT! ESPECIALLY when everyone and their brother said I was INSANE for saying Bron would be back, Love would be in Cleveland and Kyrie would sign a max extension. Just call me the freaking Oracle of Solon! Warren Buffet AINT GOT SHIT ON ME.

i mean- the number of times DJ was wrong was just astounding. Iremmeber I started on FN pretty much right when the CP was being rumored to be traded to the Clips- and I said thats where he was going - DJ assured me he wouldnt go there- and I was wondering who is this total moron who has absolutely nothing to back up his statements besides just ripping on the Clippers- this was before even YOU were at FN Mecca- and of course- I was right once again- DJ was wrong. something that has played it aself out OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.

if DJ "mentioned" it I would not have seen it- I blocked him long ago since he brings zero to the table and he has the credibility of scumbag politician and the intelligence of a telemarketer (maybe because thats what he does). If you need someone to sell some Sham-Wow's hes your guy.

and its just beyond perplexing to me that this Klaw guy is trying to tell me what I SAID years ago- based on what DJ says. GEEZUS.

you can disagree with me all you want on here- and MANY MANY DO- some justifiably, some less so- but say what you will- I back up what I say with my own posts, stats, credible articles etc. whatever.

find it

doesnt exist. Its unbelievable how people can tell me WHAT I SAID- and tell me I am wrong- when they have nothing to back themselves up ON A SITE THAT ARCHIVES ANYTHING.

Remember Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade?

I figure ALL YOU GUYS WOULD MAKE THE LEAP...me? FUCK NO- I like ACTUAL EVIDENCE

I've read things that Wiggy wrote that I perceived as crazy, but he never ( that I saw) predicted the Cavs to beat the Bulls record.

I doubt any team ever breaks it, because we are now in the era of resting players and not putting much importance into the end of the season once your seed is pretty much established.
