(wait wait- who do i sound like?) DID YOU WATCH THE GAME? John Wall had 8 garbage points in the last 90 seconds...he played pretty much like crap- including his 7 turnovers.....Kyrie wiped the floor with him.

Irving scored 32 points on 14-for-22 shooting with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in a season-high 35 minutes. His fourth-quarter output alone -- 19 points, including a personal 10-0 run to break the game open after Washington tied it 95-95 -- would have eclipsed Wall’s game total of 20 points on 8-for-19 shooting, if not for Wall scoring eight points in the final 1:01 with the outcome already all but decided.

20 points and 12 assists > 32 points and 3 assists.

Kyrie had 4 turnovers himself. It would make sense that Wall would have 2 or 3 more turnovers than Kyrie because he was looking to get the ball to his teammates. Kyrie wasn't, he was looking to score.

In fairness, all the Cavs had to do was concentrate on stopping Wall.

Temple is a 7ppg player. So, letting him get his wasn't gonna get the Wiz kids a win.

how can you win DPOY when the metrics say your team is way better defensively when he is not on the court? Please explain. Just because he has a lot of blocks? Should it not matter the ACTUAL effect you have?

I didn't say that I would rank his as DPOY.
I said I've heard conversations with him in it.
His game does have some weaknesses, but I've seen improvement as the season has progressed.

And, matchups have a lot to do with the stats.
Teams altar there lineups to try to get Whireside off the court sometimes.

32 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 14/22 shooting (64% FG), 3 assists, 4 turnovers--- is a far superior line to 20 pts, 12 assists, 7 turnovers, 3 rebounds 8/19 shooting (42%), - ESPECIALLY when you consider Wall got 8 of his points in garbage time when the game was over..literally- he hit 2 three's in the last 30 seconds because i think he was a little pissed kyrie smoked him.

Keep telling yourself that. At least you'll eventually believe it.

I didn't watch the game, but I did see where Wall hit 2 late garbage 3s the last 30 seconds which allowed the Wiz to cover the +7.5 spread

Also, it's fair to say though that the Cavs pretty much only needed to try to contain Wall because of all the injuries.

He did pretty damn good against the Cavs in the first matchup.

yah....Cavs only home loss this year was to the Wiz....honestly- in the last calendar year- i think thats about the only legit regular season home loss- i think the other one to Boston they rested most of the guys...not sure...but i think thta was the case....

the Wizards beat the crap outta the Cavs that game too- nothing to say other than they came into the Q that night and kicked the Cavs butts. I know the Cavs were not happy about it last night.

I seriously think that between the Spurs, Cavs and Warriors- they are like a combined 50-1 at home or something like that...kinda crazy.

Kings let Temple get 23 in a loss where the Wizards only had 7 guys play....:L

I think that a healthy Wall or a healthy Kyrie is about a draw as far as who I'd rather have at this point.
Both are very talented.

Well, Damn.....lol
It's part of the consistent inconsistency of the Kings, how else do you explain going 2-2 on a road trip with your losses being to a horrible home team(Wolves) and a banged up team(Wiz) and the wins against the 4th and 6th place teams in the East(Raptors and Pacers)?

What do you think the odds are that the Kings retain Rondo?

With the year he's having, you would have to give him Super mad money.

I'd say they have a 60-70% chance of keeping him right now, I think he likes playing here with Boogie and Rudy and he's really improved the passing game even if he also can be turnover prone at times when he tries to make those flashy passes. He also might appreciate that the Kings gave him a chance to prove himself when nobody else wanted to sign him, but it'll come down to what the Kings offer as compared to other teams. I also think how the Kings finish the season will be a factor, if they make the playoffs I'd probably bump that up to 80% and if they go crashing down like the Suns I'd lower it to 50/50.

@WiggyRuss it would depend on the rest of the roster for me.

Kylie fits the Cavs better because they have Bron to facilitate.

Wall would need the ball to much.

John fits the Wiz kids because he has Beal...when he's not broken.

I think the Wizards would be the pre Lebron Cavs with Kyrie.

The only Team that makes that double shooter backcourt work is the Warriors.

Curry drops dimes too.

Both healthy? Yeah, that's a coin toss. I'd be perfectly happy with either one.

id take Kyrie if i had to choose the better basketball player. easy choice.

Kyries won nothing and has played with James.
Walls won nothing as the team leader.
Kyrie never made the playoffs as the team leader.

So, why is Kyrie better?
He might be a better shooter, but Wall is the better pg.
