Robin Lopez goes 9/12 for 19 points...but dont worry- whiteside didnt guard him...lol....i mean why would he guard the opposing center and get totally outplayed on his home court?

just saying- for every Dallas game- there are games like this.

He's going to have games like this. He is still learning daily. He isn't some 10 year vet. Whiteside rarely gets completely outplayed as he did last night

He's played in about 100 NBA games and a 5th of those he barely played in with the Kings. Whiteside still has stuff to work on and I'm sure he'd tell you that, but he's shown the ability to be a great shot blocker and rebounder. I doubt he'll ever be a #1 guy on a team or at least on a contending team, but he'll get paid good money to be some teams rim protector. He still has the maturity issue that could be a problem so he'll need to stick with a team that has good veteran leadership.

Just ignore the clown. The guy doesn't watch basketball games outside of Cleveland. I'm pretty sure at most he saw 2 Heat games this year (the 2 games against Cleveland). He looks at the box score and makes assumptions all the time

Kyrie looked AWESOME yesterday.....

the Cavs are REALLY REALLY good when they are healthy lemme tell ya.....I think they have played the 2nd fewest home games in the NBA- --- AND they just started their longest road trip of the year --- 6 games total- with 5 more to come....they win 3 of the next 5 on the road- and can come home and really start taking adnvtange of a good schedule and really take control of the Eastern Conference.

It would be a nice thing to get the 1 seed. Its obvious the Cavs dont lose at home. It would make their way through the East that much better.

He was also injured to at least some extent, but gave it a go.
Clearly not 100%.
But, keep commenting on games that you didn't watch, it just pads your resume of idiocy.
its just hilarious atth is point--- whenever an opposing center beats up the Heat- Whiteside was on the bench or in foul trouble or had the sniffles....but whenever he has a good game against the likes of the immortal Pachulia - lets caste him in bronze.

Id take Thompson everday of the week. At least we know A. he plays every game- rain or shine, beat up or not B. he has one of the best work ethics in the NBA C. he is a big time plus in the locker room instead of being a big time minus D. he has proved he can step up when things get tough in pressure situations in the playoffs. E. he knows his role and embraces it and would never cry about shots or pimp himself for an all star game. F. he is younger than Whiteside G. We have seen that Thompson only worked harder after getting a big deal that pays about 17M a year- HUGE question with that on Whiteside.

In other words you look at the box score and assume.........exactly what I thought

well i also read plenty of articles- both national and local, watch highlights, as you said- look at the box score, read what the players and coach and gm are saying, look at the overall stats to see where the team is trending, compare players stats to how they did in the past-whether it was last week, month or years ago compared to current performance.

I dont know anyone...well anyone that has a real job, has the time to watch multiple NBA game consistently on a weekly basis- I gotta admit- i didnt even catch the first half of the CAvs last night.

I have a real job. Work M-F 8 AM-430 PM. Still watch just about every Heat game and watch several other games nightly. NBA games are almost always played in the evening so having a real job doesn't have anything to do with watching games unless you have a night shift

i guess....im lucky if i get home by 7 a lot of nights- and we start at 8 30...not super early but fairly early.

I am a freaking an inch away from totally being done....this one class is a clinical study lcass where you need 90 billable hours (in addition to a ton of other work)- and i have like 75....once i finish that- which should be by the endo f the month...ill finally be freaking DONE...started back fulltime this week though work wise...

Tristan is a good rebounder, he had 3 yesterday.
Gasol is an elite C, yesterday he was 2-11 (8 pts) with 4 rebounds I think.

Point is, everyone has off nights.

Whiteside was clearly not 100%, and Lopez had an above average game. Shit happens.

Whiteside is going to continue to be elite at what he does best, and that is why he's in conversations for D player of the year.

Nobody said Kyrie wasn't an elite talent.
His issue is staying healthy.
Hopefully he will this year so you have no more excuses.

And they will coast in the East as far as seeding.
All the other teams continue to beat up each other.

He looked great.

I know this sounds crazy given how young he is, but, I wish the Cavs would take the Spurs approach with Kyrie and sit him during games against the weak teams.

Don't play him against the bottom feeders because the Cavs have no shot against the Spurs or Warriors, if they are healthy, without Kyrie.

With him?

Goodness.

Healthy Cavs vs Healthy Warriors in the FINALS would be ratings GOLD.

But, dem Spurs might have a thing or 2 to say about thAt come the WCF.

Great analogies.

Dudes play above their heads for a game or two and every player has an off day.

Despite what happened last night, nobody in their right mind believes R Lopez > Whiteside.

It's easy to look at stats and assume somebody dominated or somebody struggled on defense, when there's factors that aren't included on the box score.

how can you win DPOY when the metrics say your team is way better defensively when he is not on the court? Please explain. Just because he has a lot of blocks? Should it not matter the ACTUAL effect you have?

Kyrie sure shut John Wall's bitchy mouth tonight.

John Wall had 20 points and 12 assists. Kyrie had 32 points and 3 assists. That's looks fairly even to me. Although Wall was responsible for more of his teams points than Kyrie was for his team.

(wait wait- who do i sound like?) DID YOU WATCH THE GAME? John Wall had 8 garbage points in the last 90 seconds...he played pretty much like crap- including his 7 turnovers.....Kyrie wiped the floor with him.

Irving scored 32 points on 14-for-22 shooting with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in a season-high 35 minutes. His fourth-quarter output alone -- 19 points, including a personal 10-0 run to break the game open after Washington tied it 95-95 -- would have eclipsed Wall’s game total of 20 points on 8-for-19 shooting, if not for Wall scoring eight points in the final 1:01 with the outcome already all but decided.

Plus, outside of Wall and maaaaaaaaaaybe Gortat, Washington's starting lineup was a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers.
