Wait Kobe was out until December 20?:D

Nah, but his is one of those Lifetime Achievement Awards like they give at the Oscars and Grammy's for artists that used to be great.

Be aware of fake twitter accounts around this time folks. I saw 2 heat trade rumos and had to look at Woj real account to realize it was a troll account created by Wiggy.

Would be a terrible trade for Miami. I would be disgusted
This question was poised in the Heat forum and this was my response (I'm not exactly thrilled with it either):

"I think it's inevitable. If we could keep Howard around $15 mil per, without the headaches, great. But it's not going to happen. But he's more refined than Whiteside, but he's on the downside of the career. I saw a trade that would include Omar Casspi if the Kings got involved.

So if that scenario were to happen - I'd be happier with the fact that we're getting Caspi then Howard. Also, we'd likely have to include Dragic in this deal to make the salaries work, as well as getting rid of Deng and Andersen.

I don't see the Heat re-signing Whiteside, so I'd be okay with it. But I'd treat Howard the way Turnup did with Lebron. I'll cheer for him because he's on my team, but I won't like him. Also, this really doesn't help the Heat much, because we really need shooters, which aren't really available."

I just don't see Riley doing this.
His plan is to have plenty of cap space next summer.
Howard will be an aging, bad back, bad attitude, overpaid player moving forward.

Casspi is a great role player, really hope the Kings don't move him. He hustles, plays better defense than most players on the Kings(not saying much), and has really improved his 3pt shooting this year currently at 42% which is top 10 in the NBA.

Which is why I want him. If the Heat were to somehow bring in both players, it would be Casspi that addresses a good majority of the Heat's needs checkboxes then Howard. The way the NBA is going, Howard is merely a luxury (and an overpaid one) then a necessity.
