Yeah stupid comment. Its a long season. Good teams are not only going to lose to other good teams.

Okc were defeated by Brooklyn a few weeks ago

Plus its not uncommon for players to start thinking about the 8-10 days off, or getting ready to go to all star game

Kyrie seriously deserves perennial all star status at this point....besides Jimmy Butler he is the best back court player in the East....he is honestly just that good...

Scott had some great things to say about him yesterday--- that out of all the rookie PG's he had- Paul, Kidd, Russell, Irving (of course) that he had never seen a kid with such a complete offensive game as Kyrie as when he came in- he has not since it since- and never saw it before hand he said....

Kyrie and LeBron play together- but Kobe is Kyrie's mentor- he has been for a while. Irving is the closest thing to a protege that Kobe has had - and i think that is the case because Kobe sees a lot of himself in Kyrie.

If anyone watched the game- the mid-range pullups Kyrie was drilling were DIRECTLY from advice on Kobe to develop part of that gamea nd Irving wanted to show it off to his mentor.

LeBron was right when he said earlier in the year that KI is not just an All Star level player- hes more than that.

Nobody who started playing at the end of December will ever make the AS name when starters are announced in mid January. Only way possible is if fans vote that player in.

If he actually stays healthy, there's a good chance he could be voted in every year or at least picked by the coaches. We know he's great, but you don't deserve to make an AS game when you start your season on December 20th and play less than 30 games before the AS game.

i suppose i agree-- its just ridiculous watching this guy and thinking that he wont be at the game this weekend when- and of course this is my opinion- there isnt a funner guy to watch in the league outside of a small handful of guys you could make arguments for.

He is fun to watch, when healthy. That's been his problem and will be the problem until he can stay healthy.

If Kobe is truly his mentor, he should quit being a pussy and play hurt like his mentor.

It is amazing that a team with Lebron, Kyrie, Love, JR Smith, and the incredible Tristan Thompson still doesn't have enough lol

People piled on the Heat when we had James, Wade, Bosh..and had to scrape up salary cap to sign UD and Miller and a ham sandwich.

The desperation of James to not go to 2-5 is quite amusing.

Why go after a C when you have beast mode Tristan?
well i think Mozgov would be one of the primary guys in the deal and they would get Koufos back to backup Thompson or matchup against the bigger centers in the league on the rare occasion when that is needed.

not only that- but i liked McLemore out of college.....I think he could be a "late" bloomer- he has a great shooting stroke..and its not like hes old either- what is he like 23-24?

I understood it as something like Mozgov, trade exception, 1st rounder in 2018---- but it didnt sound like it was going to happen....I THINK the Cavs are mostly doing their due dilligence ---

When all is said and done i gotta think that they PROBABLY WONT make a deal- and they will use that last roster spot for a buyout guy.

if that buyout guy is Joe Johnson im gonna be pretty excited....he would be another nice shooter to add.....but im def not counting on it.

Oh geez. How dare any good team explore any opportunities to get better.

Spurs, Warriors, and OKC are standing pat. They all know they have enough to win the title with the current roster.

In all seriousness its just funny to me. This team on paper is more complete than any of LBJ Miami teams but yet they're much more desperate to make moves during the deadline.

Of course they should. It was sarcasm.

Still won't beat the Warriors though.

Yeah, I hear you. The Warriors are so good that they probably shouldn't explore any opportunities to get better... even if some attractive ones come along. The Cavs are doing well... but it's not like they've hit a great stride that would be dangerous to interrupt. I think the same is true of every team other than the Warriors.

I think part of the reason the Cavs are active right now is because they have the trade exception.

Also, the fact the Warriors (and Spurs and Thunder) are playing so well... is another reason for the Cavs to feel pressure to get better if they can. The Heat didn't really have that factor early on, until the Spurs came along... but they beat them in their first Finals matchup proving they had enough to contend.
