my main point with Silver though is that- what he has done- is taken a lot of the "punditry" out of sports/politics. He has done a great job of being able to accurately predict, and judge players/candidates by using OBJECTIVE data...of course- the old stodgy "I SEE WHAT I SEE" people that have that self-ego that in effect BLINDS them...HATE a guy like this--- who uses numbers- and is basically always right.

oh it is analytics- but what is analytcs? Ive listened to this a lot lately- as Paul DePodesta- the ACTUAL Moneyball guy (Jonah Hills character) was just hired out of baseball to be the Browns- basically GM...

so the buzz was- well the Browns are going to driven by "analytics" now...well analtyics is something as simple as looking at a box score and getting information from it.

the type of analtyics you will see from the Browns- are the advanced stats and probabilities.....what is the success rate of a defensive end with short arms drafted in the first 3 rounds? what is the success rate for a 2 year QB with X stats from a Power 5 conference? What is the success rate for a CB that is 5' 11" or taller with a 40 time of under 4.4? What is the best formations to run while inside the red zone down by 1 score? etc....

its taking what has already been done- and building upon it and refining it- to get these type of statistics that tell us MUCH more of the story then how many blocks a guy averages a game.

had chills at the end when Kobe's name was chanted....

the sound the crowd made when LEBron NAILED Russell in the balls was HILARIOUS

Was that missed dunk by Randle as bad as it looked?

Kyrie Irving had the ball on a freaking string- he absolutely mesmerized Russell with the ball and left him in the dust- russell fought back though and had some nice threes and got a little momentum there for a little bit in the middle of the game

Kobe had that nice play at the end where he went base line reverse....cool play for his last shot in Cleveland...

You can tell Kyrie and Kobe have a pretty close friendship...thats Kobe's protege im telling you..

the Lakers defense is hilarious...

any word on Love? kinda hard to tell exactly what happened besides it was his shoudler--- never mind- they just said a "contusion" - sounds like he should be ok fairly quickly

Beechwood/Chagrin--- my parents live in Solon...pretty much right in between closer to Cleveland than Akron by a fair margin....i have some nice parking that was a little walk but you can get out quick- and the roads were practically empty although they were SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT...my new Passat tore it up though...my old Nissan i prob would have died...

I graduated from Mayfield, although I only went there 1 year.
My brother still lives right off Cedar Rd.

And, yeah, other then the weather that isn't a bad drive.
The traffic is always a nightmare down here, plus there's always construction for no fucking reason.

they dont know anything yet. as long as it didnt pop out though it should be fine with some rest whether its a zerog games missed or one week or 3 weeks- as long as its nothing more than a month or two which it sure doesnt sound like its fine

Hopefully they are cautious like they were with Kyrie.
I hate seeing all these injuries.
Any fan of the game should want to see best vs best in the playoffs.

And they lost to the Kings at home(almost lost both), which still surprises me.
