I don't understand ATL blowing it up unless they know 100% Horford won't resign. They were great last year and while its fallen off some this year, there's no reason why they can't get back to that level with a tweak or two
Horford is GOING to get probably 27 million a year....more than anyone since Michael Jordan laced up sneakers...it would make him the highest paid player in the league (until Durant signs his deal).....Mike Conley will probably get CLOSE to 25-27M a year as well.....your Lakers are supposedly going to offer DeRozan a max which i BELIEVE would be either 30% of the cap since he has 7 years of service time(you want the Lakers to pay DeMar DeRozan 26 million a year?- its coming IF he wants to take it from what ihear- not saying its good or bad right now- thatll be an interesting one to look at).....Nik Batum is going to get AT LEAST 22 million a year, Barnes probably AT LEAST 20....

contracts are going to skyrocket.....what you now perceive is "good value" has to be 100% readjusted.

To me- it just seems like the Hawks dont want to pay Horford for the next 5 years like 32 million a year in the last year of his contract.

Cavs are trying to get a package of Ben McLemore and Kosta Koufous from the Kings apparently.....talking to the Hawks about Korver, and WERE talking to the Pelicans about Tyreke Evans before he was just called out for the year..... have talked to Suns about Morris as well.

Horford I heard is going to get like 27 million a year....thats a lot of money...most since Jordan...only Durant will get more this offseason.

I think Teague is good- really good at times- but getting a point guard is not too terribly difficult unless they are the best of the best- and while Teague is good- he is certainly not irreplaceable.

I love Horford, but he's going to ask for just way too much, especially considering he's not even a true center in the first place. They need to get what they can for him. Teague, on the other hand, like you stated, is not irreplaceable. In fact, I think Dennis Schroeder is going to make a fine replacement.

I get the suspicion they know he won't. I don't think the Hawks want to pay him as much as he wants too.

lol WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?
TrueHoop Presents: Talk of Kobe-for-LeBron trade happened in 2007

here is another piece of history the two share, one mostly hidden until now. According to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the event, the Lakers once contacted the Cavs to investigate whether Cleveland would make James available in a possible Bryant trade.

In the summer of 2007, Bryant was 28 years old and coming off a season in which he averaged 32 points per game and shot 46 percent from the field. He had three rings and would win his first Most Valuable Player award the following season.

Bryant was under contract for two more seasons, but he was frustrated with the Lakers after three consecutive subpar seasons following the Shaquille O'Neal trade.

Yeah, saw that this morning. Cleveland said that Lebron was untoucchable, but tried to put together a different package. Kobe said he wouldn't have waived his no trade clause to go to the Cavs. He said only Chicago, San Antonio and Phoenix were on his list.

In the 2012 United States presidential election between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, Silver correctly predicted the winner of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.[8]

After Silver successfully called the outcomes in 49 of the 50 states in the 2008 U.S. Presidential election, he was named one of The World's 100 Most Influential People by Time in 2009.[5]

hes basically a statistican genius- who actually developed PECOTA(an advanced MLB statistic- very early in the statistical revolution)

very good read though- not many people in the world know their stuf better than him....ive been reading him more lately now that we are in primary season....great stuff-- that is if you want to educate yourself.

Yeah, I'm starting to pay more attention to the Political climate right now.

At first, I was only interested in the Comedy between Trump and Bush....they are ridiculous.

Then it dawned on me that one of those yahoo's could actually win...lol

* prays I don't start a political debate *
ill tell ya- getting off topic here--- but i honestly think Kasich is the only guy with any sense and moral fiber in the whole republican primary...

i abhor trump and cruz....i think rubio is in way over his head--- and Gdubs kinda ruined it for his brother.....

Fuck off with the politics. The Hoop has an outhouse for that shit and it isn't in here. If you choose to go over there. I suggest a Hazmat suit and a very hot shower after you're done.

my main point with Silver though is that- what he has done- is taken a lot of the "punditry" out of sports/politics. He has done a great job of being able to accurately predict, and judge players/candidates by using OBJECTIVE data...of course- the old stodgy "I SEE WHAT I SEE" people that have that self-ego that in effect BLINDS them...HATE a guy like this--- who uses numbers- and is basically always right.

I ain't kidding about the Hazmat suit. On the very few occasions that I have chosen to go there. That scene from the bar in Star Wars pops into my head.

"No finer example of scum and villainy"

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...lol

Nothing good can come of talking politics on the internet.
