Mueller has had some injury issues (concussion(s) etc.) - He definitely has some skill, but you wonder if he will be able to re-capture it.

It appears that the Gardiner deal puts the Leafs over the cap, but this is with a 25 man roster - One would presume that Colten Orr and Carter Ashton are AHL bound.

I think the Flames have plenty of truculence, belligerence, testosterone, and pugnacity with McGrattan and Westgarth. They don't need Colten Orr.

They have just under half a million left.

I think Ashton stays with the big club, I think Orr is Calgary-bound.

I also still believe Joffrey Lupul could be dealt, FWIW.

Lupul should be gone yesterday. I'm sure they'll still be able to move him if they want to though. I wish they'd move Bozak now too while his value is as high as it will probably ever get but I think we all know he's staying.

Yeah, I agree, nice work by Nonis, I like Gardiner and I think this is a great deal for both parties.

Oh it's definitely dancing time

I think Bozak is going to get over 60 this season, health permitting. Then will be the time to trade him.

He's not very likely to lead the league in shooting percentage again though, and he's probably not going to finish 4th in the league (and 1st among non-Ducks) in on-ice 5 on 5 shooting percentage. Even if he stays above average in both those respects he's looking at the same kind of regression that Kadri had last year.

So I'd definitely be willing to bet he doesn't, no matter how much Kessel continues to carry him.
