Yeah....this story broke a few days ago, but without and details or names. I thought it was quite humorous and one guy gave me some grief about posting such a vague story.

So thanks for the follow up with details. And I especially enjoy the part about "burning the other guys house down." Can't make up stuff like this.

Buster Olney apparently was on the same floor when all this began. I can't quote what he said, but I do remember that he stated, "whatever happened, ended loudly."

So this started in the hotel and spilled out into the parking lot. Hotel security and the local sheriffs were involved.

Looks more and more like JD is willing to roll with what we have going into 2014. Seems that he thinks guys will fall back to the Rangers with other teams unwilling to meet FA's dollars or years. Huge gamble based on what the Rangers have? A leadoff guy with no real success as far as OBP goes and very little success in the majors so far. Increasing concern as there is not much left out there beyond Choo and Cruz. Gotta lock up Cruz and Morales IMO and it leaves no real leadoff option. Waiting on something to happen, hope it's soon.

Looks more and more like JD is willing to roll with what we have going into 2014. Seems that he thinks guys will fall back to the Rangers with other teams unwilling to meet FA's dollars or years. Huge gamble based on what the Rangers have? A leadoff guy with no real success as far as OBP goes and very little success in the majors so far. Leonys is batting .200 in the winter league. I really like Leonys, but he's not a leadoff hitter right now.

Carroll is a lifetime .272 hitter with no pop. But he can play 3 INF positions, so I can see some value there.

Yesterday I was looking at Michael Choice's stats and noticed in his last 600 PA he had one SB. Apparently, we're not ever going to confuse him with Craig Gentry. But he hits for a good average and definitely has some power.

I agree our bench needs to be better. That's why we should keep Moreland. And the JPA signing adds power to bench.

Rosales is prob our UIF tho. He plays decent enough defense.
