Don't know if you guys have noticed, but TR sullivan is literally THE ONLY ONE who reports we haven't offered him a 7 year deal. Every other insider and report is saying we did. Now what I heard was it was likely a 6 year deal with an option for a 7th year. I don't know what that means. I consider that a 6 year contract, but I guess everyone is different.

The mans name is Texas Rangers Sullivan, I'm going with him.

I just have a feeling someone is going to steal him. I'm sure the Reds can move Phillips if they want.

I think they've been trying, but nobody is giving them a package they want or the Reds don't want to cover too much of Phillips' contract.

flip that... Sullivan said they offered him a 7yr. Everyone else said false.

Do you guys consider the original contract without options to be the length? Or do you consider team or player options part of the length?

I think the guaranteed years to be the length, but you need to add any buyout in the guaranteed dollars

I would include a players option as part of the contract length, since it is under their control to take it or walk...

Got a text that said "Before I go to bed, I think the initial reports of 130 are accurate or very close to our offer. Still pretty positive we landed him"

I responded to him "are you sure?" and he said "ya, boras likes the offer we have, which is saying a lot. He told us that choo wants to come here. Would be shocked if a mystery team came in at this point. Only teams I can imagine are the cubs and arizona."

K so if he's right about this every single one of you has to listen to an alter bridge song of my choice. I dont care if you like it. Just humor me.
