Frankie Francisco eventually blew the save in this one...

He was also slated to be the set up man in 2010 until Frankie went full implosion mode and Wash nipped it in the bud.

A Wash move I can applaud

Caribbean series highlights making me that much more ready for some kind of baseball fix

I watched a SC interview with CD last year around AS break time, and he said that he attributed his success on the change of scenery and the opportunity to relax and play somewhere other than 2 and a half hours from his hometown. It may have ultimately all come together for him if he had stayed in Texas, but I tend to believe he may have been pressing even more with the guys he had playing around him at the time.

Yeah, I read something like that too I believe and if he truly felt that much pressure it here then it would really made it tougher on him. It's hard to have success when you don't have confidence.

His first actual season with us

I forgot him coming up near the end of the season in 2009, you could tell he was going to be exciting though. Hopefully he will have that fastball back and if not maybe at least a little better control. It was a lot more fun watching him close than watching him start.

I remember an interview during the offseason before he was traded where he was talking about how much time he was spending in the batting cage with Josh and how things were coming together for him and comments about their spirituality and such. I don't necessarily think he was trying to put up Hamilton type numbers but it certainly could have had him pressing even more while in Texas. Ultimately though you said it, as it is all an unknown and hypothetical presumptions that really could never be proven or otherwise

Davis even was looking like his Ranger self as soon as he faced us last season. In the middle of his great year you could just see the old mentality kick right in as soon as he faced Texas. In 7 games went 3 for 22 with 13 K's going 0-4 in first game with 4 K's.

Russell Wilson will be at Rangers ST, though I'm sure he will never see the field at the MLB level for the Rangers it will be cool for the young guys to hear about his experiences and possibly take away something from him being there

Awesome. Has there been any chatter about the contract he is looking for or expected to sign?

He's the only reason I don't completely hate the Seahawks. Seems to be a great kid.

They only say that there have been contract offers made by four teams but no salary estimates that I can find.

If Davis had it in his head that was the case then I suppose he and the many others that have said it (including myself) are correct but there really is no way of knowing what would have became of him if we didn't trade him- simply because we did. It just seems like many times in pro-sports we all as fans like to say/believe what makes our situation with our team more acceptable which sometimes involves interpreting assumed outcomes of hypothetical situations as fact.

All you can do is give the guy every opportunity, and the rangers did.

I saw that too. He was a non factor against us.
