Unless of course, the Lakers ping pong ball happens to come out in the 10-14 range, and then they are screwed.

The Lakers organisation, even with Jim at the helm, know how to draft well. No doubt in my mind they're planning and preparing for it now. I see the guy we get this year being a star - someone we can enjoy for years to come!
Not sure the NBA allows this to happen!
Yep, and nobody thought the commissioner would actually veto a very fair trade either.

Lakers need to get on some new blood in the system. Kobe has done his thing lets get somebody else to carry the load.

1. Parker
2. Embid
3. Exum
That's how I see right now. The Lakers will get one of those 3 and I'd be stoked with any of them.
Exum would be an intriguing prospect. He loves the Lakers and Kobe. He most certainly would work with Kobe on improving his game.

I'm afraid of Exum going #1. I would take him #1 overall and never look back - I think he is that good. Plus, he's played overseas; He's played in summer league; He's played in International events where he outplayed most every all american; and he WANTS to be mentored and improve.
And he has a 6'9 wingspan who plays the PG, and scouting reports say even at that size is quicker than everyone else. When you have scouting reports calling him a 6'9 Russell Westbrook - I look no further.
