Yeah the Rams says hi.. They probably should have won two superbowls.. I understand a defense is more important.. But having an elite offense goes a long way as well..

Only if you can stop the other guys from scoring which the Lions can't and to add gas to the fire when the O is clicking it's quick strike (yeah it's exciting) which doesn't take any time off the clock in effect just putting a defense in major need of help back on the field to get shat on .....again.

and the Rams they got one sure .... but here's the thing how many more times has a team had a knock yer dick in the dirt D won the big one???? Now how many times has a grand O won it???? Idealistically you want balance but that doesn't happen often. End of the day I'll stick with tried and true than flash in the pan.

There is no maybe about better hands. Ebron dropped over 11% of his balls in college. Evans had some of the best hands in college for WRs.

And I agree -- he is only marginally taller and you can say marginally faster, but when you add to his catch radius a vertical leap that is 6 inches better than Ebron and arms that are 2 inches longer -- It adds up in the end.

Ebron is built more solid at 245 lbs. Evans is only 231.

To date you are right about their hands. But they said Pettigrew was a reliable target in the draft. And the f*cking Lions coaches were like the Iraqi minister of information denying US forces were in Baghdad when you could hear the tracked vehicles in the background. They said Pettigrew had the best hands on the team. You never know what a player will be until he they play NFL games. Otherwise the draft would be much easier.

I like Ebron and I thought Evans looks slow on the field. I may be wrong. Too late now.

Evans is slow and not an elite route runner.. He has tremendous hands.. I just don't think he is a top 7 pick..

You never know what a player will be until he they play NFL games.

I can say with pretty much certainty. If you were dropping 11% of the balls in college -- when you now have a QB with a rocket arm, who likes to hang his targets out to dry sometimes -- That number isn't going to improve too much in the NFL.

Stafford is partially at fault for the Lions leading the league in drops by a landslide. Adding a TE who has issues with drops isn't going to help that much.

Let's be honest here.. I am always a defense first kind of person.. But the Lions are much further from developing an elite defense than they are an offense.. I don't agree with the pick, but I don't think it's the worst ever either.. They sure as fuck better draft defense the rest of the way.. But my original point about the Superbowl stands.. If the Seahawks were the offensive team and the Broncos were the defensive team, the score would have been the same.. It wasn't about offense vs defense IMO..

While I would love one of these guys -- I really hope the Lions use their 2nd round pick on their defense. If they draft offense again, I may drive the 3 miles over to the Lions headquarter in Allen Park and punch Millenhew.

Trustme.. I'm truly a defense first guy.. but now with Ebron and who knows what happens with Raiola if an injury comes about. these two are head and shoulders above all others/ both are graded no lower than 50.. I want VanNoy but I highly doubt he's there and a wr in the 2nd is no longer a big priority with Ebron on board. Attaochu and Boise ST DE/OLB sucks balls til they're blue when dropping into coverage or even in space running down plays. they're both 1 trick ponies. Who else is there. I sure as hell don't wanna see CB Roby. Maybe Jimmie Ward ? But I think Gandy is onto something with S/Hybrid Telvin Smith as a 3rd round pick and then go for the flame-thrower edge rusher in Bloomsburg DE Larry Webster. All that kid has to do is rush the QB which he excels at and has nearly identical combine #'s as Clowney. I think it's important for the Lions to get their Center this year, let him develop so we get rid of Raiola for next year. Mayhew missed the missed by not getting extra picks in a trade. JMO. USC C Marcus martin is the only true freshman ever to start game 1 in the history of USC on the O-Line. 2 yrs. at LG and 1 yr at C. He's 6'3" 320 better at run blocking than pass-pro but athletic as hell

You guys better hope guys like Latimer, Lee and Bryant are off the board when the Lions pick.

I'll take Roby, Van Noy, Desir or Attaochu.

Now with my ranting aside I will say this. I really did not like the Ansah pick last year and I admit that I was pleasantly surprised so.... hopefully it's a trend. Wait a second I'm a Lions fan I know where hope gets me...

Well if Watkins has caught any NFL passes like Tate has as you said.

Ebron has not dropped any NFL passes like he did in college yet either.

theory is theory no matter how you use it.

The next discernable pass route Evans runs will be his first.
