For the record didn't we all just watch a SB where the best D creamed the best
O....... jus' sayin'

The SB was a bit more than that, but yeah, I think the Lions have proved long enough how far you can go by ignoring defense year after fugging year.

I don't get why the fuck the Lions can't take a flyer on a DB in the 1st round.. For once can they do that?

The rams won with offense as did the Saints. Defense usually wins but it isn't a hard rule. I hope we can get good defensive value with the rest of the draft.

Was Mike Evans a top five pick?

No -- but if Mike Evans was a TE and not a WR, I bet he would have been. He is a taller, faster version of Ebron with much better hands.

Joel Bitonio in the 2nd would be cool he's very versatile can play guard, center, or right tackle

Keep telling yourself that Mike. WRs get paid more and get drafted higher, always. Hence Jimmy Graham's losing battle he's fighting. Hopefully Ebron fights it himself one day.

I'm sick of hearing that.. That Seahawks team was more talented than the Broncos top to bottom.. It had nothing to do with Offense vs Defense..

Sure it didn't. How about the Pats success in recent history .......not many people but die-hard Pats fans can name the receiving corps....but everybody remembers that d-line and the thumpers they had in the secondary.

The old saying "defense wins championships" just didn't fall outta someone's ass ya know.

Mike Evans is overrated.. I can see you not liking the pick.. But don't make a case for his ass over Ebron.. You can talk about a CB or anything else.. But Mike Evans is not that great..

Marginally taller, marginally faster version of Ebron who maybe has better hands. We will see. And ebron has a decent weight advantage, no?

Yeah the Rams says hi.. They probably should have won two superbowls.. I understand a defense is more important.. But having an elite offense goes a long way as well..

I'm not suggesting he doesn't have talent. But another TE with a top 10 pick?? There are probably 6 picks that make more sense for us even at #10 than TE does. My displeasure remains that The Fucking Clown Show called our front office will NEVER deliver a championship because they are clueless.

Exactly my thoughts. Why in the world do you re-sign Pettigrew and sign a fullback, only to draft a TE with the 10th overall pick? It makes no sense at all.

I'm sure he will be better than Pettigrew, as Pettigrew looks like he is moving in slow motion in most of his routes. Why waste all that money to re-sign Pettigrew? I hear about guys talking about finding undrafted talent with Waddle, yet we find Fauria, who has like 7 touchdowns in his rookie season and we re-sign Pettigrew and then draft Ebron?

It just reminds me of Mayhew's bone head picks over the years and how he corrects them through free agency -- Instead this time -- after spending a top 20 pick on Pettigrew, we now spend a top 10 pick on Ebron. Add it to the Jahvid Best/Mikel Leshoure -- sign Reggie Bush and the Titus Young/Ryan Broyles -- sign Golden Tate moves.

Then why not Zack Martin at #10? Much better player with even more versatility?

See I agree with all of this.. I really do.. The only thing that's keeping me from bitching is that I actually think Ebron could be a very good player.. Unlike Pettigrew..
