The pirate capt almost beat Auburn last year during OOC. I think he's got a solid win coming against Rutgers tonight.

Cougs biggest question on D is their secondary. However they get to practice against the best receiving corps in the pac12, if not the country, every practice. That should have a positive impact.

I said the same thing in the pac thread. This team is exactly what I thought it would be. Halliday will be better than last year, but still make too many bad decisions. They will score in bunches. And their defense will be sub par. The run defense needs LOTS of work or they are doomed to lose to some Pac teams by 30+ even with their passing game. Yet we know they will find a way to upset someone they shouldn't beat.

Bowl team? I'm not seeing it yet, but they have 3 weeks to change my mind. I just don't think they will.

Pac is really deep, I don't know they might have to pull off two huge upsets...

I think they'll get better. Come nov. 29th I'm pretty sure all of us (Husky fans) are going to be on the edge of our seats.

Rutgers sure put to rest any notion of an improved defense though. Just got done reading a Rutgers preview and they have some bright spots. Might have picked them to beat the spread in our pick'em had I read that first. Still would of had wazzou to win though. These guys might make a little bit of noise in the B1G, more than most expect anyway.

It's going to be a crazy season in the pac. Par for the course I guess...
