Just checked the box score, G-men were outshot 23 to 9 over the final 40 minutes...

I show 24-14, fwiw http://www.whl.ca/schedule/show/game/33473

a 5 minute powerplay and a full length 5 on 3 in the second boosted that total though.
entertaining game. of the 12 goals, 4 shorthanded and 5 powerplay.

Kelowna's a powerhouse for sure though.

You are correct, I must have looked at it before the 3rd period was completed.

In other news, the Lethbridge Hurricanes are in deep financial trouble...

Two more players demand out, Canes trade them to Brandon for a paltry return. On the same day, the team's AGM reveals that they ran a deficit of nearly $400,000 last season and has lost $1.65 million over the last five years. The only good news is that the board resolved to hold a vote next year on whether to sell the team.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/owners...ough-for-lethbridge-hurricanes-190945213.html

Not surprising. Rumors started circulating last year that the Hurricanes will be moving to Winnipeg and the Ice will then move to Lethbridge. If that happens, I don't know why they wouldn't just move the Ice to Winnipeg and have the Hurricanes sell, but that's the rumor. Regardless, change is definitely needed in the windy city. I believe they are community owned, so there really is no one holding the FO accountable, and they are driving that franchise through the ground. I would like to see the Hurricanes get good again though. Both times Spokane won the Memorial Cup, they beat Lethbridge in the WHL finals. :D

Tigers beat Saskatoon 8-1 tonight. Good night of sports, Stamps beat Riders and the Tigers stomp the Blades.

Blades look awful again this year. Which is great as the Chiefs own their first round bantam pick.

so Toigo is apparently pissed that they lost out on the 2016 Mem cup to Red Deer and Dave Pratt is trying to paint it as some sort of screw job ... man, Toigo doesnt think hes entitled to anything huh? :L

wtf ... They just hosted it in 2007

meanwhile The Memorial Cup will return to Alberta for the first time since 1974, when Calgary hosted the tournament.

This tournament shouldnt be about just hosting it in the major centres ... for once, the chl does something that isnt all about the money

congrats to Red Deer

I'm pleased for Red Deer, the only downside is that the Tigers will start playing next season in a brand new arena and I was hoping they would have a chance to host the Mem Cup in a few years. Oh well.

It's early, but after 9 games, the Tigers are spotting a spiffy 8-1 record. Did the Royals lose some good players from last year's team, I thought they were going to be pretty good this season.

Well after taking a couple of years off to give the rest of the Maritime teams a chance, the Sea Dogs are back in 1st place of the Maritimes division after 2 home wins this weekend against Halifax and Charlottetown.

A weird weekend in the Q's Maritime Division. It was "Rivalry Weekend" throughout the Q. The Moncton Wildcats and Saint John Sea Dogs played a home and home series which would determine 1st in the division. Wildcats win 7-0 at home Friday and the Sea Dogs win 7-1 at home on Saturday to reclaim 1st in the division.

Tigers take 3 out of a possible 4 points from the Calgary Hitmen, lose in OT 2-1 on Friday night and then go to Calgary and win 5-1 on Saturday night. Keep it going boys.
