From the Stampeders this morning:

As a result of injuries sustained in Saturday’s game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, neither running back Jon Cornish nor receiver Maurice Price will make the trip to Vancouver for Friday’s regular-season finale against the BC Lions.

However, both players are progressing well and they are expected to be in the lineup when the Stampeders host the Western Final at McMahon Stadium on Sunday. Nov. 23.

Good thing the Stamps already clinched their spot in the West final, heal quickly boys.

I just saw on the Sportsnet ticker that Bighill will have surgery on his fractured hand, but he is expected to return for the playoffs.

they said in the cesspool yesterday that bighill intends to play with a full cast ... he'll be there for the playoffs

I dont think bighill is as big a loss as if they were to have lost the dude with the most tackles in a season in cfl history ... Jamall Johnson would fill bighills lb position nicely if neccessary ... and Alex Hoffman-Ellis from Wazzu is supposedly "the next one"

he actually had the surgery yesterday and it was actually his wrist ... and he intends on playing in 1 week with a cast ... wow ... hes just gonna go around clubbing guys

I think the fans in Ottawa were just happy to be back in the league this season, so the results don't matter all that much. Next season will be different though.
