Anyone in favor of a Michael Del Zotto reclamation project? Nashville isn't qualifying him

I was actually hoping Hexy would talk them into Vinny for Del Zotto & then trade Grossmann. MDZ could be a good cheap option for us and Nashville needs a center or 3 big time.

Yes they all depend on price...but I'm sure they'll bring someone in.

MDZ if he comes cheap I would be interested
Cory Conacher on a two-way deal I'd be interested in
T.J. Galiardi not really
Mathieu Perreault absolutely I'd be interested
Anders Lindback possibly, I like his size in net
Keaton Ellerby I would like him as a 6th d-man, he's mobile and big

Ott would be in the box all game in Philly not worth it here...he could sign in pit and commit murder though.

"The Flyers are still trying to trade Vincent Lecavalier. Teams are asking the Flyers to pay a big part of his salary and include a prospect or pick."

Nashville appears to be the only interested team left. If that's the price, I think I'd keep him for one more year to see if he can find some chemistry and maybe be 100% after the back injury. If not, I'd buy him out next year.

An Eklund special:

Don't be shocked if Ville Leino ends up back with Philadelphia on a one-year contract. I am hearing there is mutual interest in seeing if Ville can revive his career where he had his best success. The Islanders and Ducks are also interested.

Interesting - Ville might be a cheap option to get his career back where it was with the Flyers

Eckland is a little off here by saying maybe he could revive his career. He never has had a career. He had one season of 53 points and every other season he was terrible. Please don't let this happen I know we have someone in the minors that has more potential than Leino. I am grateful for that year he had with us and looked great with hartsy but I don't want to see him back.

Yea JBM73, when teams start asking for all sorts of things as condiditons to trade for Lecav because they know the Flyers want really want to move the guy, then I say it is time to keep him one more year. Just as you stated, keep him and see if he blends with the new guys and the rest of the Flyers while increasing his production.

I'd take a risk on leino at like 1 mil. Those are usually the only UFA signings that can be classified as 'good' down the road. Some others are okay now because the player is good, but they'll be awful in a couple years when they start slowing down.

I'd be in favor of a Leino reclamation project, but I don't really see the room for him. I think Akeson has earned his spot, and he is probably the only debatable top 9 player. Don't want Leino on the 4th line

I like the idea of a 1 year deal for leino on the cheap. I think he could play with schenn and simmonds. I don't know why, but for whatever reason, I think Vinny will try harder and put up some decent numbers if he gets to play with G and Jake.
