Ah good point. Didn't even think about that. I'll be very curious to see how Konecny plays in camp. It seems to me like he's not going to learn much from Juniors this year if he goes back. But, Hextall is Hextall. Maybe they send him back and hope his confidence comes back sky high and he adds a little muscle.

His third goal in that video is absolutely all-world. Not many guys dance around two defenders like that and finish it off so well that it looks absurdly gorgeous and downright easy.

He appears to give us something we really need as a team too. Playmaking, speed and the ability to finish effortlessly, all from the wing.

I like the way its structured where its not back loaded and if we need to trade him in the last year of his deal to make room for the young Dmen he will be easy to flip.

Assuming Schenn get resigned at $4.5 and Cousins at $900,000, we have $6,5000,000 for 2-3 forward and 1 dman. Pick between Provorov, Morin, Alt and Manning which would be a max hit of $900,000. That leaves $5,600,000 for 3 forwards. 2 of these will be low end and average around $1,600,000. Example would be Konecny and Colin McDonald. That would leave a max of approximately $4,000,000 for a fa forward. Would Vanek take a 1 year prove it deal? Those that may be affordable include Jamie McGinn and Okposo. Definitely affordable include Stempniak, Parentau and Matt Martin.

and I've read that Hexy wants to keep a 2 million cushion on the cap, just in case. So really only working with about 2 million after your proposed signings. This off-season is going be quite dull if we are unable to move Streit, MacDonald or Reed.

Not necessarily. You're only getting the remaining cap hit, not the entire year of it.
