I may be wrong on this one but the reason they aren't calling up the future at this point is we want to keep these guys under team control as long as possible.

it was about time we squeaked out a win

Misk - Are you & Mr. Cranium the same person? You guys' devotion to cool cars makes me wonder. If you and I hook-up at a Twins game in August, please bring the hot-rod! That would be awesome!!

Nosfer - It's probably a long drive for you but I know you didn't buy that beautiful Vette just to look at it. See you too??

Later, dudes!

Ok. So we sent down Worely........when do we send down Pelfrey? The guy who doesnt have an upside?

O wait, the Twins way is to keep the 30 year old garbage up here.

That's a valid point but we have rolled with Hicks so far. This doesn't explain the Arcia situation. He was already up here and we went with a 29 year independent ball guy who appears to suck. Not to mention hes a RF called up when our 3B got hurt.

As for Gibson. That is kind of my point. He's almost 26 now. We going to wait til hes 30? Just for team control?

It just doesn't make any sense. You would think after two horrible seasons someone would realize the way were doing things.......is wrong.

I know our prospects are not on Trout and Harper level, but then again Machado wasn't even on that tier initially. Other teams are giving these guys chances........we don't.

I don't see the need to bring some guys up just yet. We know we're not going to the WS this year. It would be good to see some of them brought up in the second half though to get a look at some MLB games.

The rotation is obviously the biggest issue right now and if some of these prospects really get it going, we could end up with a few solid arms for starters in the next season or two. It would be great to finally have some reliable arms there since we all too used to not even having one reliable starter. I like Diamond and Correia is serviceable but that's all we've really seen so far.

Great points hockey, I have no idea why Gibson hasn't been brought up, as far as Hicks and Arcia, we really didn't have alot of OF options after trading Span and Revere. Who the hell knows what the front office is thinking, i'm starting to dislike Jamey Carroll as much as I ever did Punto or Denny Hocking, 3.75M for a guy who couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the directions were on the heel.

I thought that was interesting how they switched venues in the middle of the four game series. I don't remember if I have ever seen them do that. I wonder if it has something to do with the greater incorporation of interleague play this year? :noidea:

Brewers really bring out the best in the Twins. We have turned into a homer power house this week. Gardy once again leave Walters in too long...literally no idea what he was thinking after the 6th inning melt down. Florimon saves the day.

Burton stops all talk of a rally as he is a beast.

Now we get the M's for 3 and no King Felix. Let's try and keep this thing going!!

Prediction time.

Mauer Doumit and Parm all getting their 5th jacks tonight got me thinking. How long til Morneau joins that pack and seperates himself from the 2 homer grouping of sluggers.....Florimon, Dozier and Escobar?

You hope to get at least six innings out of a starter but hey when you're done you're done I guess.

Burton is good.

Nice that we miss Felix, but still have to face Iwakuma tonight.

He is hitting the singles and doubles and getting RBI's but the power just hasn't been there. Would be nice to see it return and see him become what he once was.
