2013 Flyers Game Summaries

Yeah, I hear ya. I want the Flyers to win...I'm just so disgusted right now!

5 home games in a row we pick up 8 or nine points while teams like the rags have only played 13 road games all seaon get some road losses it's gonna go down to the last game of the season to see who gets in

What happened to our offense. Schenn needs to pick it up along with Simmer who really havent been doing enough lately Read could do more Coots and Briere are basically invisible on offense Hartnell has to get better after the injury and get on a roll

he's playing on the phantoms top line i think.. i know he missed a good bit of time after breaking his face, but i'm pretty sure he's back now

well IMO he's in 3rd/4th line winger category and the flyers have a million of those.. you could make the argument for any one of the following to play on the 3rd or 4th line wing

rinaldo
zolniercyzk
wellwood
talbot
fedetenko
shelley (hardly, but since he's on the team)

plus simmonds, read, and gagne who have played top 6, but would probably be better suited to being 3rd line wingers

problem is, outside of voracek, they dont really have anyone truly earning top 6 winger status.. read, simmonds, gagne, hartnell, and schenn have all had moments and stretches where they deserve it, but nothing consistent so far this season

going off memory here, but i think mcginn could be in good shape to be in the lineup next year though.. fedetenko, shelley, and gagne are UFA, and i think rinaldo, harry z, and wellwood are all RFA, so they're not gauranteed to come back

Here's my take. Lavy had a week to tighten up the team D and they looked fantastic. Bascially played the same game as the pens have been playing. If they're going to get in they will need to continue that style and with a good PP that may be enough to cause some damage. Having DB out didn't help either as it pushes some players down the roster.

Harts played with some spunk looks like he's put on the hard hat and realizes that's how he had success last year. I'd still like to see him back with DB as they had chemistry...if they can get that back they'll have multiple dangerous lines.

My only worry is the D holding up but if they stress the team D that will help mask some of the holes back there. It will also give Bryz confidence as he won't be facing as many ridiculous chances!

I also agree thats why we need to get home and take like 4 of 5 games if not we are doomed.
