2013 Flyers Game Summaries

Any of our backups can do just as bad and play a good game once a week why do we continue to put Bryz in net if we are looking to get a high draft pick at this point.

Simmonds and Rinaldo are the only 2 that play with passion. This is a retool not make an adjustment team.Time to be sellers at the trade deadline. The only untouchables for me are currently Giroux, B. Schenn, Jake, and maybe Read and McGinn. I add Read and McGinn as Read looks like he can actually play and McGinn is still really young and has a nasty side. Let everyone else walk. Trade someone as a wake up call to the others. They are so hard to even watch at this point. We have 4 or 5 forwards and rthen the balance that a ll play the same way, Couts is the biggest mystery to me. He is still so young but I would think he would have some time to hit the weight room. I have tickets for next Wednesday but cant decide if I want to waste the hour drive each way and then 2-3 hours watching sloppy play and turnovers.

as i've stated before, i wouldn't move couturier unless it was for a bonafide star dman with even more upside.. OEL, pietrangelo, shattenkirk, or subban. that's pretty much the list. it would probably take more than couturier to get any one of those, but there's no way they should move couturier just to move him, based on this season. he's 20 years old.

Coots has been so bad there is no way that he deserves more playing time. He;s not even the best player on the 4th line at this point that's a shame.

There's thing that could be done to help him get out of his funk though. Maybe give him the ice time so he can build his confidence back up. Maybe put him in positions to succeed. Maybe not start him in the defensive zone every single time. Maybe play him with better skilled players. He's young. I would try to build him up instead what Lavy is doing with him.

I would be all for that if he showed any kind of energy and let everyone feel like he deserves that shot. He went through all three lines this season and has been terrible on all three and at this point he isnt doing anything but hurting this team with turnovers. Show some effort and you get put on a higher line. It's not like anyone else is showing effort so it would be easy for him to move up if he hustles and checks and handles the puck for more than 2 seconds without turning it over. I hope he gets to playing as anticipated. If he does he will be a cornerstone.

I believe his head was stuck up his ass.Every goal on him was pretty lame IMO.

like another poster said,it's time to get a new coach in and use the rest of the season to get acquainted with his system.

Bring up as many guys as possible to give them playing time.

He did move for the 1st shooter, and gave the hole net, but Nielson shot too high. for the flop.

Im kind of glad that the game was blacked out in my area. I just popped a great movie that brings back memories of my military time " zero dark thirty." I watched my Buckeyes survive another day. Now it's Syracuse time!
