Is Derek Carr related to David Carr? If so that seems about right for us....

His brother yeah. David Carr could have been good had he not got sacked something like 120 times in 2 years.

walterfootball.com:

Cincinnati Bengals: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
Geno Atkins is a monster in the interior, but the Bengals have to find pass-rushing help on the outside, given that Michael Johnson is set to hit free agency. Sam Montgomery is arguably the top player available, so Cincinnati can fill a big need with the top prospect on the board.

Cincinnati Bengals: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushed for 100-plus yards in four of the five games prior to Pittsburgh, but that's mostly just great blocking rather than the Law Firm improving. One of the Bengals' top priorities is finding a capable running back. Giovani Bernard would complement Green-Ellis very well.

Cincinnati Bengals: T.J. McDonald, S, USC
The Bengals had a big need at safety, but they didn't address the position until the fifth round this past April. They'll put more effort into finding an upgrade the following offseason because they won't survive with Reggie Nelson and the benched Taylor Mays (or cornerback Nate Clements, who is playing out of position) as their starters.

Cincinnati Bengals: Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina
The Bengals have major problems at linebacker. They lost Keith Rivers this past offseason, Manny Lawson will be a free agent in the spring, and Rey Maualuga is arguably one of the worst defensive starters in the NFL. I don't know if he's hurt or what, but he's been awful this season.

...

not sure I can agree with the first pick, if we sign some free agents this year.
the other picks are hard to disagree with.

Not a fan of McDonald at all. He seems to be just another big, hard hitting safety that can't play the pass at all. Not a fan of any of those picks really. I'd rather sign a FA RB.

Is there a back in this year draft that is close to Adrian Peterson? If so the Bengals need to grab that guy. :usa2:

No the top RB probably won't go until the 2nd round.

Been looking at a few mocks and here are the players that the different mocks have us picking:

Sam Montgomery - DE LSU - 2 have us taking him
Ezekial Ansah - DE BYU - 1 has us taking him
Alec Ogletree - ILB Georgia - 1 has us taking him
Arthur Brown - ILB KSU - 1 has us taking him
DE Alex Okafor - DE Texas - 2 have us taking him

So all the "experts" have us either taking a DE or ILB, we will take a WR or a TE.

I think the 'experts' think that we won't retain MJ hence the DE. I really want a good safety, LB and RB in the first 4 picks. Still love my first 3 rounds..

1. Elam SS
2. DeAndre Hopkins WR
2B. K. Greene LB
3. M.Gillislee RB

Hope they do something similar.

I think, despite what Kramer thinks, we sign a RB and a S in free agency.

They'll sign a RB and S that's over the hill or blows or both. They're not signing Reggie Bush. Just stop. Jesus fucking Christ.

I wouldn't drop a ton of dough on a RB. Jarius Byrd would be sweet but don't see it happening. I think they keep their own then pick the bones in FA.

I think they can roll it over to the next year...if there is a loophole in the new CBA they'll find it.

They can but from what I understand they have to pay what ever they don't spend under the 99% to the league anyways

Geno Smith killed it at his pro day. Jaws and Mayock are on board. Looks like there's a strong possibility a team may trade with the Chiefs and take him #1.

He won't make it past #5.

And we're stuck with Dalton. Kill me.

What's up Bengals fans?????

Looks like as of now, the North Division is yours to lose!!!

B-more is giving everyone from the mutiny crap pink slips, and all we do is recycle players from the Cowher Era.
I will ba happy if we have another 8-8 season, other than that I dont think we will be able to keep up with our rascal gimp carts!!!
