Doesn't matter if Bama had won a NC recently or not doesn't change the ridiculous attitudes toward many of these so called expert opinions. How does winning a NC impact that, one way or the other? If they say Alabama is going to have the #1 offense, #1 defense,#1 ST,#1 team am I suppose to feel like they accomplished something? What you call pompous I just call my opinion, and as we all have heard, we all have one! :peace:

U need to chillax broheim. Enjoy the projections with us... Why not? Its all we gotz.

Maybe I should come back in August because a conference logo, someone's predictions on irrelevant "stuff", coaches whining about the SEC, and a total of about 4 posters who post every 30 minutes doesn't do it for me and is making me cranky! I need real football!!! NOW!!! :gaah:

Oh yea, our team is going to get more first down than yours! or is it field goals? :noidea:

OK, OK, I'll try to be positive... :suds:

Winning the off season is serious business.

I'd be very happy with those numbers for our defense. I think we have the personnel to do it, but none of the have ever played a 3-4 D before. I'm also curious as to our offensive numbers. I could see us being anywhere from #10 PPG to #60, mainly depending on the strength of the O-Line, the Offensive Coordinator, and if they make the right choice at QB (Stave).

VT's D had an extremely shitty first half of the season last year, but turned it around and buckled down to finish in the top-20 to 15 in total D. 9 starters are returning from that group, along with the guy who started an OLB spot the year before, but didn't get to play last season because of some complications from a stress fracture in his leg. If they play to their abilities and don't take shit for granted like they did at times last year....this could very well be one of the best VT defenses in the Bud Foster era.

Scoring Offense 121st

Scoring Defense 65th

So are these Predictions/Numbers, from last year, or are they what they start or end the year ranked?

So this guy is predicting Utah is going to be in the top 5 @ #121  of the worst Offenses at the end of this year? Wow, Amazing, Spectacular.

I say they finish better then last year which was

#107th

There defense will finish at

#65th

Last year they finished #37th.

The tough part about predictions, even from the so-called experts is offense and defense is a dance that isn't mutually exclusive.

A team could have the best D in the nation... but if their offense keeps putting them in bad spots because they stink... it will impact the stats of the D since they track points against, etc. Also, when a team is losing, the D loses some desire... it is only human.

So, although the list is good... I don't put much credibility into it until the season starts. Each team is one "John Brantley" away from a mediocre season...

We lost 3 on Defense. 2-DL, 1- DB, and 3 on Offense. Shoot we lost probably the best kick returner in the Nation with Dunn gone, he brought 4 back for TDs last year1 The Steelers got one hell of a return man!

With so many Nebraska fans thought this wad relevant.

There was debate earlier how big of a step up the Huskers offense would take this year.

Steele believes it will be a significant step

Husker Scoring Offense

2012 28th
2013 Projected 8th

Husker total offense

2012 26th
2013 projected 7th

It has mostly to do with our schedule.

Personally, I believe Nebraska will have a top 5 Offense. Everyone returns, the line will be great, a lot of veterans.......and an easy schedule.
