Don't think we ever saw a Napoli/Soto rotation. Soto hasn't been here long enough.

However, if that Napoli/Soto rotation was 4/1 ... then not sure just because Napoli goes out you can instantly make the Soto/Martinez rotation 4/1 with Soto getting 4x the work instantly because Napoli is out.

There is the thing too that TEX may begin wondering if Napoli will be part of the post season ... so makes good sense to figure out if Martinez can perform ... way you do that is by playing. That's why I think TEX OUGHT to go to a 2/2 or worst case 3/2 rotation.

Course ... we all think Olt and Gentry OUGHT to be getting more playing time so while we may all be looking to find ways to reduce the workload that's real heavy through end of August with only 1 day off ... the field manager may want to do it a different way.
The #1 guy always gets the major of the starts. When Napoli was active, Alto only started with Dempster. Now soto is the #1 he will get the majority.

Yeah, not really a power binge but batting .346 this year when his previous high was last year at .305 and before that .280 in 2006.

Maybe did something to get his bat speed revved up, wish Young would use what he's using, maybe we'd get something out of him, and if he gets caught, we can get rid of him for 50 games, no losing for the "casual" fan in that scenario

That's true. Looks like a win-win to me.

Thats not true, Soto had a couple starts with people other than Dempster

That said, Soto is coming off knee surgery and its August, nothing wrong with getting Martinez 2-3 starts a week

It is very smart for even a 2/2 rotation split with Soto getting Dempster always. No sense wearing out your "#1" when your last "#!" is on the DL and it is August.

REALLY?! I had no clue!? seriously time to put that argument to bed and stop using it

Its a discussion board, we are discussing... Its not about Wash getting on here and doing what we think is right, WE ALL KNOW THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

Just don't tell me I'm not Wash, problem solved

Because I'm going to continue to question his lineup decisions, b/c they are seriously flawed

Leonys Martin 3 for 4 tonight ... although not his 5th HR in 5 nights.

If he were up though he would have sat all week. Only room for 1 rookie to play 1 game a week. Can't afford rookies to play right now ... veterans gotta be in the lineup ... TEX is in a pennant race after all.

I hope the Angels figure out that's what you're supposed to do in a pennant race and get Trout out of there so V. Wells can have some playing time.

But you're not the manager of this team, whose name must never be spoken.

Clemens (age 50) just signed with independent leauge. 87 MPH fastball and all 4 pitches working. Wonder if he'd be better than Oswalt or Dumpster?

Amazing that a guy thats 50 can still pump them in there at 87, maybe faster if he builds up some arm strength

That said, no thanks... tongue in cheek or not
