Joe Buck is terrible. The others are average at best. There's too much random audio for my tastes. Now it looks like it's going to be a battle between 2 guys who've won a total or 3 tournaments between them, which is nice for them I guess.

It's been a weird tournament and it's probably due to the nature of the course. There was a time late yesterday when 10 guys were either tied or 1 back, 7 or 8 under with Fowler being the only top 10 guy among them. It's almost as if there's 1 way to play the course and just about any of them can do it if they're putting well. It's just odd to see so many random guys bunched at the top so late and that much under par in a US Open.

This is a scenario were you need Faldo badly.

That should do it for Koepka unless he really messes up over the last 3.

I hate it when some touring pro, who is a multi-millionaire anyway, pulls off a risky shot and the announcer says "That took so much courage and guts to try that shot". Heck, my platoon sergeant when I was in the army had more guts and courage in his little finger than any of these pro golfers have in their entire bodies combined

I love that Keopka is another gym rat.

The more some of these announcers & old vets question the choice to bulk up the more they seem to win.

You have to be jacked (unless you are Harmon or Bubba) it seems like these days to really compete

The 60 yd width and the softness of the course was the reason for so many low scores. I do agree that Buck is very irritating but the other commentators did a very good job.

If you were a former golf announcer who was a condescending douche before (like Azinger)

...than you will be one on Fox. And he is.

.
Azinger has always had a chip on his shoulder but is also very knowledgeable. Overall I thought the coverage was good.

He was the only one who deserved to win today. He was clutch as the others fell by the wayside one by one.

It's makes perfect sense considering another personality zombie is his close friend.

Dustin Johnson.

He received a motivational pep talk before the final round from Dustin. Can you imagine how inspiring that call must have sounded?

Hey.
Hey.
Good luck. Go win.
Yeah thanks.

Golf is not Buck's best suit, but I have to give Fox a bit of a break because they do zero golf all year, then open with one of the biggest events of the year...it could take them a few years to figure it out at this pace.

The course...I think the USGA did a great job of setting it up but they just never got the weather to cooperate...rained like 3 days, and the course is so wide to account for the wind...it only blew on Sunday. Even if all the elements were in play...dry, fast course in windy conditions...maybe 6 or 7 under par would win....it's not not a par is a good score type golf course for those guys.

I thought it might come down to 17 or 18 with Harman and Koepka but the par save on 13 was huge, then rattling off 3 birdies in a row sealed it. Not that it mattered but the bogey on 18 cost Harman a lot of cash...2nd alone paid a cool million.

Koepka been one of my sleeper major winners along with Tony Finau, both long ballers...the RC experience had to help Koepka...if I remember he kind of rushed back from injury to play in the RC.

Congrats! Another 1st time major winner.

I didn't either. I thought maybe it was just me that found his demeanor after he won very strange. If he acknowledged the gallery I missed it. I guess personalities aren't for everyone, but you just fulfilled a life-long dream in front of thousands who paid good money to watch you do it. At least act they your enjoying the moment a little bit.
