I'm surprised there scores are not lower actually, the course looks gettable, the greens are receptive. seen balls holding from the rough.

My wife is from Wisconsin and I had the opportunity to golf at Erin Hills with my father-in-law in 2015. The course is located about 26 miles northwest of Milwaukee in the middle of nowhere but is quite visually spectacular. The fairways are very wide and the course is very long with many bunkers. The greens are great to putt on but some have severe slopes so if you miss on the wrong side some shots will roll downhill into heavy rough. I really enjoyed the experience and I plan on golfing there again on our next trip to Wisconsin.

Some 45+ under par so far...We can be rest assured the course won't see a drop of water from the USGA.

To your point...some players felt early in the week the course was gettable...-8 or -9 might be the number.
Even with Fowler sitting at -7 now, assuming they don't get anymore rain, I don't expect a dbl digit under par winner.

It really depends on how the course plays in the afternoon...he's what +8? He can come out in the morning and shoot 66/67 and probably make it.
