If we are accounting for SOS the PAC CCG should be the natty. Only the PAC beats the PAC. The conference us so tough they beat on each other every year

I don't think anyone is taking the bait. Switch to a different type. Tensions are high tonight on the hoop and fishing is good.

It will be proven again this year. Now that we finally have a proper committee in place and removed biased polls from the equation
I'd lay down some fat stacks that once the committee proves how biased it can be when one of the AD's teams slip into the playoffs over a more deserving team, you will be the first to claim bias.

Either way it should not be a room of 12 people making millions of dollars worth of decisions. And personally, Pat Haden should have been taken off the committee after last years stunt. Inexcusable in my opinion.

LOL :L still hating on 2003, I see!

Not at all, do you really think its appropriate for an 'unbiased playoff committee member' to run onto the field and yell at an official? If it was any AD I'd say the same thing. The only thing I'm hating on in 2003 is that LSU and USC didn't get to face off. If only there was a playoff back then.

This year Northwestern and Texas A&M are helping you guys out
USC still has to play ASU and Stanford. As much as I liked seeing them lose their openers. Those games do not help USC. USC has to perform themselves to help USC. The PAC is tough

I agree, SoS is the reason I think Oregon should have gone instead of FSU. But everyone else is all "they are undefeated".

Overall, the playoff format is more than welcome. Even if Alabama didn't win it last year and might would have had an easier path to it.

Not so much fishing as mild mimicking :dhd:

Oh I remember those days very well. You need to throw out the last place team in the Pac 12 would win any other conference. That was one of my favorites.

I got no problem leaving undefeated teams out when SoS is a bigger factor.

If they claim, how they look in each game, is a factor than there was serious question to why they were in the playoffs. I thought they should have been in though.

I agree Haden shouldn't have run down to Sark aid, but it NOT uncommon to see a AD on the side lines and way to dramatize that Haded was yelling. He wasn't yelling at anyone.

I have been in the customer service field for over 40 years, it's a normal action for customers to suggest the the person in question was rude when the customer wasn't give their way, like you trying make a point that Haden was yelling at someone, when in fact the crowd noise dictated the tone of the conversation.

What you are suggesting is that Pat Haden was " out of control" and that is ridiculous assumption

That always made me laugh. SEC teams could beat an NFL team was a good one :dhd: I can't fish tonight no wifi leaves me with no new gifs :gaah:but I do like the committee and think they are a major upgrade to polls

Still didn't win the games, I think they are good too but they have to prove it on the field first in my mind instead of just getting handed a top 25 based on losing close games.

Actually no. You are suppose to rank teams on how good you think they are THIS year. Still its best to wait a few weeks before forming any opinions about teams. Shouldn't even have voting this early in the season.

I have never before seen an AD run down on the sideline. Neither had the two commentators at the game who have been to a much broader scopes of games than myself. I'm glad LSU's AD isn't part of the committee (not only because he is a hack) but making it clear to the country that you are not biased is hard enough when you are an AD. It is a lot more difficult to explain when you run down to have a discussion with officials mid game, and professionals on TV who have been around much longer than myself claim they have never seen such a thing in their life. If it was LSU's AD running on the field, my reaction would be the same.

SOS has a lot of variables tied to the rankings tho. The system was very flawed I'm good with the way it is now.

Only with humans, and only with some humans.

"might've"

they WERE the #1 sec offense.

SEC Defense = myth

LOL, yes they were the #1 SEC offense. The myth is any correlation you try to make between that and any previous season.

Typical Texas fan, living in the past. I guess that's what happens when you're the 5th best team in your state.
