What do we do with Talbot ?

I would say keep him and dump Elliott. He's younger and probably has a better upside. If you could trade him for a solid player maybe, but were gonna need a solid tandem at some point.

Talbot is the long term veteran backup to Hart. He can be a 1 if needed, if Hart stumbles, if he has a long term injury.

Elliot has been a warrior. He has done everything he could to help the team including playing when he shouldn't have. I still wince whenever he goes down thinking that this is the one he doesn't get up from. But realistically, he should not be brought back.

Really all the young guys have been playing significantly better the last 2 months. Patrick, Lindblom, Sanheim, Konecny, Laughton, Provorov (couple monster games lately), and even Ghost has looked better. Then obviously Myers coming up, he's been good as well.

I could get very used to a Provorov/Sanheim and Ghost/Myers top 4 on defense.

Yes agreed especially Laughton and Lindblom of late seemed to have turned the corner. Sanheim all season has been decent. Myers looks to be a sure fire NHL'er. Too bad they didn't bring him in sooner but I guess AMac was playing too well...f me.
