We have had the 12th easiest schedule in the league thus far and are tied for 2nd to last place in the league in points. Great lets not blow it up lets keep the same course.

4 soon to be 5 coaches gone.
2 Gm's
Countless goalies changed
Countless bottom six changed
Countless line shakeups
Last 6 years missed the playoffs completely 3 times
Last 6 years first round and out 3 times
This year one of those two options will be happening (prob miss the playoffs unless we shake this shit up.

I keep percolating on this season, this team and this organization as a whole.
I am of the opinion, in case you missed it, that this season is done. The Flyers are not going to make the playoffs.
I am also of the opinion that the only players who we should not look at moving are the kids, Provorov, Sanheim, Haag, TK. Why? Because this isn't about who has "done shit" this season, it is about who is better than what we have seen AND who is not turning 30.

I don't want to trade Giroux. I would however honor any trade request he brought. If he asked to be moved I would do it. I would move Cooter if I could get the right return. I would move Ghost as well. He has simply not improved at all after his first season. He plays in streaks and when he is not scoring his lack of defense is not something you can overcome.

As for the bigger picture, I don't think that the solution to what ails this team is something that is going to be so simple that we as outsiders are going to see it. It is also most likely going to end up being a move that seemed counter intuitive at the time (like the Carter and Richards trades). It really has reached the point with the team and this core, that you have to think that addition by subtraction is the only route not explored. That means Jake, Simmonds, Cooter. Simmonds is the most logical, the most expendable and probably the one who will bring the lowest return. I don't think Jake's return will be that much greater because of his contract. I am not saying it is untradeable, but it is significant.

Either way, I will continue to tune in, throw things at the TV and curse when the players don't show up and I did. I will continue to rant and rave until my wife leaves the room and then I will turn to this forum...why, because I'm a fan. Because I want this team to win, not just a few regular season games, I want them to win it all. And not just a one and done, I want multiple cups..

I agree 100% with this post except for Gee.
This post is on the money and i believe we all are cursing right now but want a cup badly.
Hopefully the kids start to pan out and i dont consider ghost a kid anymore.
Hopefully we could get back solid returns for anyone traded by the deadline.

This one goes without saying. Myers has deserved an opportunity for a while now. Critics will try to draw attention to the flaws in his game. I mean he’s 21, of course, he has flaws. I’m not sure if you’ve seen Philadelphia’s defense lately but it’s full of flaws. I’d rather give this top prospect the opportunity to work out his kinks in the NHL then keep giving ice-time to the likes of Andrew MacDonald.

You can't just blow this entire team up and even if you did somehow manage to do that, get ready to be in true rebuilding mode for several years to come. That means no playoffs in sight ever and losing 50+ games every season. Also, you'll have to sign a lesser head coach for that kind of mess, because Q won't stand for that.

The only thing Fletcher can really do is tweak the roster here and there without selling the farm, then bring in Q in the offseason and have him take the whip to these guys. It's embarrassing how poorly we've performed to date this season given the amount of talent, speed, size, skill and experience we have throughout the roster.

With our forward group alone, we should be one of the better teams in the Nhl. Between just Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, Simmonds, JvR, Konecny and Patrick, we should be getting about 200 goals and a lot more assists. And that's only our top 7 forwards. Other guys like Raffl, Laughton and Weal have shown they can play up and down the depth chart. We also have two defensemen who combined for 30 goals last season. We're the best faceoff team in the Nhl. Goaltending is mostly a mess, but to be sitting tied for 30th in points today is an absolute disgrace.

These guys are so over rated it's beyond embarrasing anymore. It doesn't matter how bad your coach etc is because the players are the ones who have to play, if they were as good as people say they are they would be in every game win or lose. They lost this game after the 1st goal, you could see the give up right then. Gritty should let them know what that word means.

JVR sucks, he was a horrible signing and no one will ever convince me otherwise. Bottom line for me is I hope Fletcher goes all in on free agency this off season.

Could be true for sure, lol. As a fan it's so frustrating, up to this point I want to start seeing this stellar future I've been hearing so much about. I also think there is a cancer in the locker room to, no way a pro sports team plays this shitty and shows no leadership.
