Well we've won 2 games without him since March. If that's the kind of hockey team you want, then let's trade Giroux. I know I'd love a team that went 2-54. All aboard the trade Giroux train!!

:llama:
I love how you predict stuff and try to make it seem like its a fact. The only fact here is Gee has led us to the bottom of the league. You have no idea what our record would be with out Giroux so please stop speculating and making it like it a fact. 28th team in the league with Gee FACT

Great so we are still 28th out of 31 teams so what if we dont have Gee. It doesnt matter if he scored and is in on 41% of their goals. $41% of a team who is 28th in the league isnt good enough to warrant a pass here so please stop overrating a player who has lead this team no where.

We'd be fucking worse. That's my point.

It is a fact dude. They trade Giroux, they get worse. It's a fact. You don't trade talents like Giroux and get better. I've asked once a week for 3 months for you to show me a team that traded their star and got better, and you haven't done it. You haven't done it because it doesn't exist. There is no team that traded their star and immediately got better. Teams that trade their stars are tanking and trying to rebuild. FACT.

You bitched and moaned all season last year about making 'buyer' trades at the deadline because you were tired of waiting to win a cup NOW. You made up some garbage all summer about us saying we're on some 5 year plan to win a cup, when we preached patience. They struggle through the first half of the season this year and now you want to trade the best players they have and you expect to get better. That's asinine and hypocritical. Either you want them to win NOW, or you want them to tear it down, start over, and rebuild for real.

Still should've made the deadline trades and we didn't and got booted in the first round.
5 year plan was from YOUR boy Hexy who got fired not me making it up.
We are 28th in the league with this core this season.
Have never won a playoff series with this core so trade away.
Still dont want to wait for a cup and would sacrifice all of the core to get one.
I WANT THEM TO WIN NOW AND THE CORE NEEDS TO GO TO DO SO ITS OBVIOUS TO MOST FYERS FANS

I think I’ll let you talk to yourself tomorrow. I’m tired of this never ending cycle.

I almost want to do the Giroux for Sarros/Tolvanen deal I proposed a couple pages ago just so we can watch your meltdown when the Preds win the cup with Giroux.

Here's the thing. This season is done. BOOM

If you aren't Provorov, Sanheim, Haag, TK ... well, you are up for grabs

Send Hart back to the AHL

If Fletcher doesn't do something soon...send him to the AHL as well.

The Freaking inactivity is ridiculous

"The challenge for Chcuk Fletcher isn't to 'save' this season. It is to make the right mvoes to put the team in position to avoid the cycles of recent seasons without tearing up the farm system or making panicky trades to appease the add-by-subtraction folks. Has to wait out the right moves" - Bill Meltzer

Couldn't agree more.
I agree with that too.

Why exempt Koneckny? He hasn't done shit this year either.

I agree with Awaz, I've said it before that Giroux is the farthest thing wrong with this team. Bad coaching, shitty GM(really tired of how he built our farm system excuse, he sucked!) Extremely bad goaltending and defense is the biggest issues beside the fact our role players suck. Jvr another horrible move, and the list continues. Bring in some more scoring, Jesus fucking Christ even a dummy like me can see this shit.

I give you credit-I can't even watch their crap anymore.
Giroux can't do it all himself, and unfortunately,if you're going to "blow up" the team,he's the 1st guy everyone would want.

You can't just blow this entire team up and even if you did somehow manage to do that, get ready to be in true rebuilding mode for several years to come. That means no playoffs in sight ever and losing 50+ games every season. Also, you'll have to sign a lesser head coach for that kind of mess, because Q won't stand for that.

The only thing Fletcher can really do is tweak the roster here and there without selling the farm, then bring in Q in the offseason and have him take the whip to these guys. It's embarrassing how poorly we've performed to date this season given the amount of talent, speed, size, skill and experience we have throughout the roster.

With our forward group alone, we should be one of the better teams in the Nhl. Between just Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, Simmonds, JvR, Konecny and Patrick, we should be getting about 200 goals and a lot more assists. And that's only our top 7 forwards. Other guys like Raffl, Laughton and Weal have shown they can play up and down the depth chart. We also have two defensemen who combined for 30 goals last season. We're the best faceoff team in the Nhl. Goaltending is mostly a mess, but to be sitting tied for 30th in points today is an absolute disgrace.

You and I both know that if we were to trade Giroux, we wouldn't come close to getting full value for him anyway, and we'd probably be taking some junk salary in return too to make up for his $8.275 million per cap hit. That and he's the only guy on our roster with an unmodified no-movement clause. Good luck trading him and like you say, we will certainly get a lot worse immediately.

I think it was Jon Cooper, the head coach of the league leading Tampa Bay Lightning, who just recently said we essentially have a top five power play skill-wise. He's not just blowing smoke, we should definitely be up there with some of the top power plays in the Nhl. However, the slump we're in right now is ridiculous.

We're not doing the simple things like floating the puck on net through traffic. Instead, we're passing the puck around the perimeter until we either fire a puck wide, have it blocked or turn it over. It's absolutely terrible. Makes me wonder what the hell we're doing in practice.

Honestly you're just messin with me if you don't get the concept of elite players vs 50 point players.

Again, just mute the guy like I did. He doesn't know hockey and is literally trolling his own team and fanbase...Lol

If Lasgop were our GM, we'd essentially be the Arizona Coyotes.

Really, then why am I finishing 1st or 2nd each and every time we run a Flyers fantasy league going back many years? In fact, last time I had to register two teams and ended up beating myself in the finals...Lol

I live for this shit and the vast majority of posters on this forum are well aware that I know what I'm talking about.

That obviously excludes you and your jerk buddy, Lasgop.

Goaltending isn't the real issue with this team right now, quite frankly, it's team defense and failing to play together as a five man unit all over the ice. Neuvy and Hart have mostly played well recently.

Scott Gordon said:
"We shot ourselves in the foot on all four goals," Gordon said. "Lapses on decisions, lapses on reads on the backcheck. There was a huge mistake made on each of those goals."

These mistakes our interim coach mentions are routinely hanging our goalies out to dry. It's as if veteran players have suddenly forgotten how to play the game of hockey, because a lot of these errors are an easy fix.

It's also a lack of identity and passion as a franchise. What is Flyers hockey anymore!? It's not about physicality, resiliency or refusing to lose. We pretty much lay in the fetal position and hope for the best.

For fuck sake, we have over $15 million in cap space as we speak. When was the last time a Flyer squad was that far under the cap in the middle of a season!? We used to play to win every fucking season. And yes, I'm fine with what Hexy did to stock the cupboards with fresh, young talent, but that doesn't mean we can't spend to the cap ceiling anymore. Are we playing to win the fucking games or not? I don't think the players even know.

If we are officially tanking, I am thoroughly embarrassed as a longtime, loyal fan. That and Ed Snider is probably rolling around in his grave.
