Problem with this is a team is a team like Colorado with more cap space than us can come in and get him or even Toronto might make some moves and dump salary to keep him. If you trade for him you assure yourself of getting him.The thing is that we may be able to get Nylander by offer sheet and not give up those pieces. I would at least try. The Leafs will be in a difficult situation to match because of cap issues and need to extend players they currently have that are due for new contracts.
Swap Patrick and JVR IMOHe practiced with the first unit today. So did Voracek.
1st: Giroux, Ghost, Voracek, Couturier, JvR
2nd: Weal, Provorov, Simmonds, Konecny, Patrick
Personally I think Sanheim should be there instead of Provorov. Sanheim, IMO, is a better puck carrier and zone entry guy.
This is spot on.
Now that's a hockey player.
These division games are waaaay to important to put a player on the top PP that hasn't played in 5 weeks.Put him on the 1st right away.
We are going to beat the Devils by a score of 5-1 tonight. Screw the Devils!!!So if we lose again tonight and Saturday where is this team at? For me it's pretty much a season ender, yea I know, I'm doom and gloom but it's hard to believe in a product that just can't get it together for 60 minutes.
Its comforting to know we aren't the only team whose goalies get hurt.

Alternatively what happens if we split?Alternatively, what if we win tonight and Saturday?
This dude is the best pure, all-around hockey player we have in our entire organization right now and he's only just turning 26 in a few weeks.
Go score first tonight, #14, I've got your number.
I'll take G.
For both
I love G as much as anyone, but he doesn't have the defensive skill, size and youth that Coots has in spades. That and I think Sean can and will pile up the points more than he ever has moving forward. This guy has been flashing offense left and right lately.
