One last thing, you can't show this type of passion for more than one game? Can you guys imagine if this guy played like this all the time?

You don't just lose that type of passion unless you don't care any more.[/MEDIA]
to clinch a playoff spot

According to Raptor it's Giroux, I mean Mckinnon wasn't second in scoring last year. Difference is McKinnon plays both ends of the ice, I believe Roo is as good as any NHL'er but sometimes he just looks very disinterested.

I'm saying if you're comparing Giroux to Duchene, and the Flyers should do what the Avs did, who steps up and fills those shoes (and more) like MacKinnon did for the Avs?

The answer is nobody. The closest the Flyers have to a MacKinnon is Giroux. There's nobody after Giroux that you could turn to and say "here, carry the offense essentially by yourself and make us a better team than we are now".

Well it's a good thing we have something to talk about. Like to see Awaz worked up means I'm seeing bad hockey to! Not sure where this team ends up but I'm sure it wont be a boring ride.

Haha, it's definitely bad hockey. I think we can all agree with that!

Exactly! Why can't he bring that every game, I don't see players like Crosby, Stamko's etc just disappear, I just wish Roo would play to his talent level every game.

I think Giroux could bring a more physical game more often, but it's easy to point to Giroux and say "why can't he be always on like Crosby or Stamkos", but really, do we know that they're always on? We know Giroux has off games because we watch every game he plays. If we watched Stamkos or Crosby every game we'd see the same thing. Instead we see Crosby when he plays (and OWNS) the Flyers. Of course he looks like he's always on when he plays the Flyers, he absolutely dominates them much to our dismay. But at the end of the season Giroux had 13 more points than Crosby did and both of them played 82 games. If Giroux had off games, then you can bet Crosby did too. 13 points wasn't luck or a random monster game, that's a sizeable number. It's enough to say that Giroux was probably 'on' more often than Crosby was last season.

If he played like this all the time we might have had some playoff victories the last couple of years.

At least we got some posts up today.

Have fun buddy! I hear it's been in the mid to high 80s. I went camping last weekend at Letchworth Park (near Rochester) and it snowed a bit. I was tent camping with my son and his scout troop. We went whitewater rafting and swam in friggin cold ass water. What a nightmare that was. Shocking none of the kids got hypothermia. Oh and to top it all off, we had coyotes howling nearby. At one point I heard them just outside my tent and it sounded like a pack fighting over some meat thrown away that the boys forgot to secure..Ugh! Never again!

I agree with you, only thing I will say is I see more Crosby, Stamko's, Kane etc highlights then Giroux.

Goals don't count for more if they make the highlight reel though.
