Uh, giving up 4.4 goals per game is an absolute shock and should be for the whole world too. The defense and goaltending were by no means great or even good last season, but given how young they are, we should expect some improvement on what was about the league average. Last I checked, we are 30th so far this season in goals against...

It's embarrassingly bad, so far.

Hey, at least we know this early catastrophe of a defense is not just a big club issue. It might be an organizational thing...Lol The Phantoms are giving up 4.75 goals per game through 4 games and that's with Carter Hart at their disposal.

Time to find out how to keep the puck out of our nets.

Good, clutch win this afternoon. There was a lot more of a sense of urgency defensively by many. That and the offense was humming along pretty well, despite not scoring many goals. The two empty net goals sort of make up for that. Either way, it's a solid win on home ice over a division rival. For Jake to finish it late for us and prevent them from getting a point or stealing two in a SO is huge.

Patrick and Provorov both get their first points of the season. Everyone can breathe a little easier now.

Also, it appeared that every single forward line and defense pairing was changed for this game...Lol Perhaps that jolted the entire team to play with more desperation, I am not sure.

That was the best all around game they played this year. Even though there were some major stupid turn overs right in front of the net....thankfully Elliot saved them and we didn't get it shoved up our asses.
