Interesting that JVR and Lindblom were switched. Apparently JVR and Patrick had no chemistry. Also Lehtera and not Weal. Must be a PK choice.

I think it's a good roster that has a chance to be great. The question marks will of course be whether the kids take the next step (mostly Patrick, Konecny, Lindblom, Hagg and Sanheim) and if Brian Elliott can hold up throughout the season. We already know or have a good idea of what we're getting with these other guys.

JvR-Patrick-Voracek just didn't gel in the preseason like they had hoped I guess. So they switched him with Lindblom to see if any of their chemistry from late last year carries over.

Scored 36 skating on Toronto's 3rd line mostly last year. Not out of the question. Granted, he got 1st PP time there and won't here, at least starting out.

But we'll see. No need to jump all over this before they've even dropped the puck. If we're 20 games into the season and he's not producing, then start posting about it. It's far too early for this right now.

That's a pretty good 3rd line with potentially (2) 30 goal scorers.

Yes, but a lot of that production could end up being on the power play. I hope they wreak havoc at even strength too.

I don't visit the main hockey forum very often, but interestingly in one thread asking which three teams will miss the playoffs after having made them last season, people are naming us left and right.

To me, that is a lot more about hatred of our franchise in general than logic, but so be it.

I think they're all fucking crazy to expect that we're missing the playoffs this season, but perhaps that's just me. We're trending upwards, if anything, and those of us following this team closely realize that.
