Horford is an actual pro and actually helps you win. SOOO much better than Whiteside its not even funny.

if you want gaudy stats and pretty blocks sign whiteside- if u want to win games- sign Horford.

Im still shocked they didnt trade for george or butler.

Honestly, this performance reaffirms their decision not to.

This core is not good enough to win. Add George or Butler and they are still probably 3rd or 4th best in the league. I think Ainge realized this.

This would be a huge disappointment for Boston if they don't win series. IMO all they needed was a 1st round series win to complete a successful season.

Also the Bulls performance in these first 2 games confirmed why I said if the Heat didn't make the playoffs, I would prefer to see Boston/Indy and Cle/Chicago.

Chicago plays defense and would have been a load for Cleveland.

gotta say- i counted the Bulls out when Gibson got dealt and Wade got hurt---- but they have shown some great resilience and some clutch play.

gotta give them credit.

if they are gonna shoot well from 3- thats not gonna be an easy out. Wade was 3/4 from 3 tonight.

Would be a nice upset and playoff victory for Wade to put on his resume if the Bulls finish it off----- and it just goes to show you---- Boston has more depth- and a lot of solid players--- but the Bulls have the best player in the series.

in the NBA its the age old rule--- the team with the best player USUALLY wins. Star power wins in the league.

why do you think the Bulls are winning? jimmy fucking butler. lol. put him on the celtics and they are EASILY #2 in the East- no question....he is the exact guy they need that would fit everyone into the slot they should be in whilem aking them all better.

team with the best player usually wins unless the disparity between
"best players is negligble"

I disagree to an extent. I understand why Ainge didn't give up on the draft pick they got from the Nets just to get George or Butler.

But Boston keeps building up and talking about assets. Windows in the NBA are only open for so long and the C's are in year 4 of rebuilding. Their best player is 5'9 and after that it's a significant drop off to the next guy which would be Olynk - but he's a guy that can do everything decently, but nothing elite. Horford's contract looks like one of the worst in the league now.

1. Did you pick the Bulls to win the series?
2. Wades a 3 time champ and Finals MVP. I doubt a round 1 win when he's not the main guy elevates his resume.

My condolences Prayers for Isaiah Thomas and his family in their tragic loss. Thomas' sister, 22 years old was killed in a car accident Saturday and Isaiah still suited up to play and be there for his team. That took a lot of guts and this Lakers fan respects this Celtics player

I disagree on that. With the way Butler and George have finished out this season, they'd definitely be a Finals contender, especially with the way Cleveland has been playing D. Their biggest problem is their too reliant on one guy (Thomas), either of those players improves them dramatically. If the price was absurdly high and it could have been depending on what sources you read (mixed reports), I can understand his logic. But personally, I would have made the move.

Either way, he should 100% be slammed for not making ANY moves. There's zero excuses for not improving their bench at all. They've got more than enough picks that they could have spared something to nab some extra scoring or rebounding

So you don't think the Cavs will make the ECF?

Their window has not opened yet. I think Ainge corrrectly assessed the balance of power and did not think a George/Butler trade would bring a title. He is looking 2-4 years down the road.

LOL at Wiggy disliking my post.

I hope he realizes that the 2-3 teams that would be better than the Celtics + Butler/George are GS, SA and.... wait for it.... Cleveland.

I guess this is his way of admitting the Cavs would have no shot against the Celtics with that addition. Pretty hilarious.

The Pacers and Bulls were trying to rake Ainge over the coals and take both Nets picks. It was not worth it considering that even with a move, the Celtics would be at best 50-50 to get out of the East and a near lock to lose to the West champ.

Their window has not opened yet, but C's fans need to trust Ainge. He knows what a championship team looks like, and that is what he is shooting for.
