I don't know how much control the POTUS has over this. But if he has the power to put a stop to it, and he really wants to be the people's president, he will put a stop to it.

Maybe the area has to officially be declared a disaster zone before price gouging can be controlled? Does it count if everyone knows that Florida will be a disaster zone by Saturday?
