Most likely landing spot of Nunez was the Red Sox. They have been eyeballing him and rumors all over the place here in MA that he was coming. Red Sox have tons of good prospects I wonder who we got.

Arroyo is still on the dl with Sacramento and Sandoval is supposed to "earn" his way back up. That being said, I fully expect the team to bring up Sandoval but they may surprise and bring up Jones or Hwang instead.

Here's my skeptical take on 3rd base, post-Nunez: If the Giants call up Sandoval right away, 3rd base is his for the rest of the season. If they wait on Sandoval and go with either Jones or Hwang, they platoon that guy with Gillaspie, with Gillaspie getting more of the reps.

Look, us bringing up Sandoval is a clown move for sure, and one that could only happen when your team is screwed. But guess what? That's where we are. Of course this is stupid, but not when you acknowledge the deal. Same reason the Mets probably bring up Tebow in September. They should, why not?

I don't see the Mets bringing up Tebow. Then again, they moved him up to high A ball when he wasn't hitting that well at low A. Still, I think it is a long shot that Tebow gets his contract purchased.

Interesting that twice now Stratton gets called up and is used in long relief on the same day as the call up. With tonight's game, it was almost like this was planned to pull Bumgarner early and bring in Stratton to pitch out the string. Wonder if he gets sent back down tomorrow and two position players get called up.
