Rookies constantly have to force their way in. Veterans get long leashes. It seems dumb sometimes but I also somewhat understand it, to a point. Managers and FOs can be long in the tooth on knowing when to bench, or let go of, a long time ago productive veteran.

Both pitchers have settled down a bit but their pitch counts remain high. It will be a matter of which bullpen is better (or simply which team actually has a better lineup).
