I liked H20 DAMMIT!! :lm:
In all honesty it wasn't that bad. At least not as bad as the cash grab Resurrection film in 2002 with Busta & Tyra. Absolutely awful.

H20... Just didn't care for the premise. How does a tortured soul like Laurie end up as a headmistress of a private boarding school? There's no way someone with that violent of psychological past would be able to look after youth, including raising her own child to be as normal as he was lol. The broken relationships on display in Halloween (2018) was much more attuned to the reality of her character arc.

Steve Miner did an admirable job with the film. JLC took front center as she should, and John Ottman's orchestration of Carpenter's iconic theme music was marvelous. And I think it had the most satisfying ending out of any of the films.

I would still screw a 50+ Jamie Lee Curtis...but probably not a 60+. She wasn't looking too hot in Resurrection and the newest one.
I would at any age! She's a scream queen icon, and we shall pay tribute! Are nostalgic orgasms a thing?

Resurrection was straight garbage.

yeah H20 plot didn't make a whole lot of sense but it turned out she couldn't take care of him too well..he faked going to that camp and almost got murdered lol. I did like the 2018 movie though as well...but like you said the plot made much more sense looking at the entire series.

Had an interesting question the other day... Which Z-flick do I prefer between:

30 Days of Night
or
From Dusk Til Dawn

I love both for so many different reasons. Tough choice!

Horror movies were down on my list of genres. My favorite would be Christine. Saw it in high school at the drive ins.

well, finally got done trying to be productive on the day off while probably creating more problems going forward, without wanting to find another alternative, think i'll give 3 from Hell a shot.

Rob has generally gotten progressively worse for the most part in my eyes, but can still dig the House, Rejects, and I guess if this is the third in the trilogy (i hope it'll be decent enough). Fell asleep trying to watch Salem a handful of times. The best thing about 31 was when they thought the creepy clowns showing up in different areas might have been a part of the marketing campaign. Don't even get me started on the Loomis as a PR whore/Dr. Phil or whatever the hell you want to call that character direction of the Halloween reboot.

I might take flak for this, but I cannot stand Rob Zombie movies.

Any/All.
Of.
Them.

The Halloweens included. I think his movies are awful.

i think you'll be safe, i essentially was saying the same thing. I was still a drunk college student (graduated to functional alcoholic... maybe semi-functional) for the first 2 portions of House and Devil's Rejects, that said, I still view House as my favorite (and again, when I say favorite, I liked it). It was a downhill slope from there, don't think you'll have too many singing his praises for the halloween reboot. the first wasn't terrible, the second...

No flak at all. He's not a great director, but he gives some dark visuals that fans can appreciate. You either love him or hate him, there's really no in-between. The grungy metal-heads of the world of course grovel at his feet no matter what product he puts out.

I wasn't big on his Halloween remakes. Nor did I care much for Lords of Salem. But Ho1kC & TDR were great.
