Don’t respond then. Sometimes when you tag a comment it’s just to bring a different viewpoint and wasn’t addressing one personally but to just come with a counter point to what was said.
CB trumps LB everyday of the week. The Eagles haven’t taken a LBer in round 1 since the 70’s (I think). They are plentiful but a good CB is really difficult these days. (Not including 3-4 blitzing OLB). Nothing to fight over.

If he repeats last season I agree. CBs just get more money than LBs because they are a more important position in today's game. But, that assumes both are similar talents too and it could be a reason to not resign Jones if his demands are sky high. I'm not 100% sure we know who Jones is yet so I'm glad we have another year to make the decision. With Smith I feel like his only question was health but that we knew all along he had legit superstar talent.

The other thing to keep in mind is we have no other LBs behind Smith or LVE (Lee is winding down his career). We have some other young CBs that we may feel comfortable starting and we have a draft this year to help sort it out too. Regardless this is a great problem to have

Thanks for remembering this is all just football talk. I don’t get the anger on here unless it has to do with my political views. Dallas has a nice roster and can start focusing on depth.

No, it's not about your political views. There are several guys that visit the Dallas board that I go round and round with on the PF, but we don't bring any of that up here. We can separate politics and football.

The reason people don't want you on the Dallas board is that you always follow the same pattern: 1) say something that sounds like a compliment about the Cowboys, 2) take issue with something that a Cowboys fan says about the Cowboys, 3) use that discussion to bring up the Eagles and how they operate/play/have better players than the Cowboys.

It's a worn out schtick and it's annoying.

I have hardly posted here for years. I tell the truth. I say what I think Dallas is good at and where they have issues just like I do with the Eagles. It’s not complementing Dallas, it’s bringing up the truth. I’ve never come on here saying Philly has better players and is a better team then Dallas. It’s just talking football.

Zeke isn't the best RB. He's the most used RB. There's a difference. He came dangerously close to the 400 touch mark last year in just 15 games. I'll pass on giving him a big contract. The Cowboys would be fine without Zeke if they can find a good Offensive Coordinator.

We might lose someone (like D-Law) to greed, but as far as everything else. Jones will be the one we lose to Cap issues if we have any at all.

Everybody is playing hurt at the end of seasons. Interceptions aren't the end all be all stat, but giving a CB that catches absolutely no interceptions a big contract makes little sense to me. You gotta have ball skills to get big money. . Byron has none.

Smith- Has really limited football instincts unlike LVE and Lee and makes plays mostly on athleticism. I love Smith. Love his comeback story, and pray that his football instincts come back being two years removed, but at this point, his instincts are a big red flag right now. DLine covers a lot of Jaylon flaws and when the DLine got gassed against Colts and Rams, Jaylon was heavily exposed.

Paying for LVE, definitely worth it. He has Luke Kuechly written all over him. I really don't know about Smith yet.. The athleticism is rare but the football instincts are Bradie James like. Nobody wants to say anything bad about Smith because he's come so far from where he was and is a great comeback story. But I'm just telling it like it is. Jaylon's path to the football on running plays needs to improve big time. He's been good, but he could play much better. The Rams game was an ugly look. It reminded me a lot of 2017 when Lee got hurt and our run defense suffered because of how bad Jaylon was at taking paths to the football.
