I have a hunch the cowboys try and trade Lawrence if this is true. It would be nice to have both of course.

the simple thing would be to rescind his franchise tag and let him walk on July 15th. then sign Ezekiel Ansah to a 3 or 4 year deal at an AAV of 13.7M

he has to sign it to be traded.

I say you put the latest contract out there, 6/120 and tell him "this is all we are offering, you either sign it or we will rescind the day after the draft and you can try to find a new contract with a bum shoulder".

I'm not pro-billionaire owner, but I'm also not going to support a prick who holds a team hostage with "sign me soon or I won't be ready next year". Fuck that guy.

DLaw isn't going anywhere
I'd rather let him walk and use the money to keep Jaylen, Byron, Dak, Zeke, wolfhunter, and then be able to add someone like Eifert easily next year.

They can sign them. Jerry has the cash. I think he comes on at 21 soon

A nice move here, now let's see what Miami picked up on the contract and the 1 year extension and it could be a GREAT move.

The Dallas Cowboys acquired defensive end Robert Quinn from the Miami Dolphins on Thursday for a 2020 sixth-round pick.

Quinn, who visited The Star last week and also met with the New Orleans Saints, is getting a new one-year deal worth $8 million from the Cowboys and he can earn $1 million more in incentives, according to sources.

I don't know....his agent pulled some BS here. It's like you selling me your house and want @250K, I think on it and come back and say yes to which you say now you want $280K....Not a good look.

I think 18M per shoulda been the number with his injury history....but thats just me

it's a hard cap....being greedy just takes money away from others.

as scotty said...I'd rescind the offer July 15 if he's not signed by first of May

I tend to agree but the market increases by the day so I would do $20M. This $23M BS combined with the "threat" to delay surgery until after a deal is signed, which is just mind boggling, is enough to send him to Buffalo if he doesn't sign it. He's very quickly become the bad guy in these dealings
