I was in doubt, and thinking about the Blount fumble and the pick 6.

Thinking about how I'd said Pats don't do shit like that, etc.

And I was leaning towards giving it up.

But I held fast.

At halftime, I was undecided. Knew they needed a 3 and out or turnover at the start of the third. Then thought they had a shot. Kept referring to the 24-0 halftime deficit against the Broncos. When it was 28-3, I absolutely thought it was over.

Pretty much this. I thought that they needed to get off to a good start in the 3rd quarter and they'd still be in it. When they got the 3 and out from Ryan and then good field goal position I was back on the edge of my seat. Then two quick drops and a punt later and I was ready to stick the fork in 'em.

Plus BB getting that longer halftime, that is the whole "been there done that" routine, they made serious adjustments and kept going...

I said to my buddies that the longer halftime was definitely to the trailing team's benefit. The Falcons wanted to get back out there right away.

Just a miraculous night for being an NFL fan.

Yep, I turned the channel just before half...when I came back and it was 28-3, I changed it for good.

But hey, I'm a Viking fan, I don't know anything about coming back from a deficit.

I was going the distance win or lose but at halftime I put on my onesie Patriots PJ's a joke Xmas gift. Never been superstitious before and I'm too tall for them but I think it made the difference in the game.
I'm kidding about the difference part plus ther was still beer in the fridge

I did have fun with my oldest, ( Seahawk fan) goes into his room to play vids, telling me, "it's over"
So I waited, and waited, Pats creep slowly back in, then I go rushing into his room screaming, "Brandon Browner 99 yd pick six!" :heh: Gotta give them Hawk fans some shet!

I was at the Seattle/Packer game and thought it was over with 4 min left. Since that game no game is ever over.

Last night was almost a replica of that with a turnover and needing 2 point conversions, going into OT and then the team that had the lead never got to touch the ball in OT.

At 28-3 I posted that it was over and that it was clear who the better team was, because at that time it sure as hell looked like it. The Pats immediately started their comeback. I'm glad I didn't care who won. What a tremendous game.

I didn't think it was over. I was here posting the entire game. But I surely didn't have a huge amount of confidence. I was screaming at the tv late in the 3rd for NE to show some urgency. I couldn't believe how calm TB and BB looked. I guess tha is part of keeping the younger guys calm. Luckily I was wrong. Because it gave ATL less time at the end of the game. Even though ATL had 0 time outs or challenges left. Being the pessimistic NE fan once NE started their come back, I told the wife NE will get the 2nd TD they needed but fail on the 2nd 2pt conversion. I was never so happy to be wrong so much during this game.

I'm happy to say I stayed through it all. But this was the first time in a long time I actually watch the half time show with Lady Gaga.. Nice outfits.

The 2 pointers concerned me too given how poorly they did last year in Denver trying to get one.

As an aside, I can't imagine posting here while the game is on.

The fucking game is on, you don't need this place.

I zoomed through half time in two button pushes on my PVR remote.

Nothing against Gaga, but I'm just there to watch football, not commercials, anthems and halftime....
