OK - if you believe that Gruden made the wrong call - fine (although I think that most coaches would do the same). However - maintaining that Gruden doesn't trust Cousins is just ridiculous. These two are pretty much joined at the hip. If Cousins somehow were to leave the Redskins you better believe that it will not be because of any input from Gruden.

Not really. If KC get more money from someone else in the off season he is gone. If that happens you think the Skins fire Gruden? So no they are not joined at the hip.

I believe it was a big play.

I know we scored 26 points to against a team that hasn't given up more than 23 in 13 games.

That play gave us the opportunity to WIN the game. When we faltered and only got the Fg then the defense had to step up again and win the game. The defense won the game.

Im satisfied but it could of been disastrous. What about what Pete Carol did last night by not kicking the extra point to go up 8. Yes Seattle won but it was a bonehead call.

I think it was a brilliant call. He knew, if NE scored a TD, Seattle could not stop the 2 point conversion. Why not go ahead 2 scores? He put the game in his QBs hands just like you wanted it in KC'S.

Barry has to get some credit for the 2nd half adjustment ...

i cant find the stat ... but the amount of points they have allowed in the 2nd half this season is remarkable.

Are you serious??? You don't kick the XP to go up 8? LMFAO. THat is not even close to the KC example.

This is where your hypocrisy and blindness shine through. Kicking the XP does little for you because the odds say NE would be successful in getting the 2 and going to overtime, where you would be if you fail your own two pointer. Instead, PC goes for 2, puts the ball in his pro bowl QB, and give his team a chance to not even worry about the HOF QB on the other team.

Absolutely crazy. You have a good defense. Everyone is all over PC for that call. Its just not been brought out b/c Seattle won the game. I don't care who you are playing you take the 8 point lead by kicking the XP.

I was shocked at that call. Ciny is just bad to give that up. Eli is INT prone. Its a huge slap in the face to Eli.

Oh please. Barring some completely insane $$ deal for Cousins (which won't happen) he isn't going anywhere. Why do you have to amp up the drama all of the time? They called a run instead of a pass - big deal! You have to jump all in with these insane conspiracy theories when in reality MOST NFL coaches would have made the same call in that situation.

Jeez - give it a rest and enjoy the victory. Who cares why or how they won - they won - period. Wins are not easy in the NFL regardless of the opposition (& you do realize that the Vikings have one of the better defenses in the NFL). Questioning Gruden's loyalty towards Cousins is laughable.

Why? Why do you take the 8 point lead? If you don't think you can stop the conversion, why would you take the 8 point lead?

PC is getting crap because he went against conventional thinking...it doesn't make it a bad call in a modern game.

I am happy we won. No one is questioning loyalty. As of right now KC is the best FA QB out there. I do want him back but we might get outbid. You never know. From what I seen from coaches this last weekend I m guess im happy with Gruden. lol

You take the 8 point lead b/c the Pats cant beat u only tie you. Are you saying that you agree what Mike Tomlin did? They took 4 points of he board and that whole game changes if they gotten the Xp's. It's bad coaching. No doubt about it. These guys are making Gruden look like Bill Walsh. lol . You never take points off the board in the first half.

You questioned Gruden's loyalty towards Cousins by stating that he may not have trusted him. What Cousins does will not simply be a matter of him going to the highest bidder (unless that bid is substantially higher than the one for the Redskins). There are many reasons why Cousins would prefer to stay in DC assuming that they offer him a fair deal (which I assume to be the case - was not true last offseason).

Nobody wants to leave a comfortable & promising situation especially if it might involve going to a struggling team & where there are no guarantees for success. Also - I am sure that Cousins would prefer to keep his family in the area and also not have to relearn a system, gain the trust of other players and fans, etc. Again - it is not all about the $$. I feel pretty safe in saying that the Redskins and Cousins will be together for at least the next 3 years.

After they possibly lowballed Osweiler. That is why I stated the this is based on the asssumption that the Redskins give Cousins a fair offer (which I believe will be the case). Also the Osweiller situation was completely different. They really didn't show a lot of confidence in him & he likely viewed that to mean that he might not be the starting QB for long in Denver. That is not the current case for Cousins.
