I don't deny that the Warriors are loaded with talent but I'm a big believer that team chemistry is more important for success.

Agree.

Without chemistry you are just a bunch of individuals, like the Knicks.

But, the Warriors were right to take the risk.

Mark Cuban has sat on his hands the past few years as the Mavericks continue to wallow in mediocrity.

I actually like your young guys Anderson, Powell and Finney-Smith.

In Cuban's defense, it's not from lack of trying.

They don't have a chemistry issue. Their new guys need to acclimate to the plays and get comfortable together out there. And I think it will happen sooner rather than later.

Cuban has been too preoccupied with his television show and politics to really focus on the team .

As savvy as I think Cuban is in business- I just don't think he understands how to put a winning basketball team together. I think he had more luck than anything else the season they actually won.

I think Bogut was sorely missed in last nights game for a couple different factors:

1) His defense of course was missed in the middle.
2) His passing was missed from the high post. He still remains one of the best passing big men in the league, and his ability to pass to cutters, or even deliver correct dribble hand-offs was missed. It's something Zaza is ok at, but nowhere near Bogut's level.
3) Lastly, Bogut's screens were missed too. I saw too many times where Klay and Steph weren't able to come off nearly as clean as they have been off a Bogut screen. That split second difference makes a huge difference for guys with quick triggers.

Come on, I hate to admit it but we both know a lot of those screens he used to set were illegal. :heh:

I think a big that was actually really good at setting picks was Perkins. KD benefitted from that a lot when they were in OKC together.

Well we have enough "cheater" allegations due to Dray floating around- this is just one less to deal with.

fify lol

That is going to really hurt the Warriors. Draymond can't do it by himself, plus the refs aren't on his side at all anymore

I remember LEBron's first year (back) in Cleveland- game 1 they lost ot the Knicks- they had practically a whole new team.

Agree.

Heck, that first Heat team with Lebron was 9-8 after their first 17 games. How many times have the Cavs gone through rough stretches over the past 2 years, yet still end up in back to finals with a title?

When you put that many top players together, there will be times where they struggle with shot distribution, who should "take over the game" and when, etc., etc.

In the end, the Warriors will likely be just fine. Just like the Heat and Cavs were/are.

Wow I just ready back through the thread from 1 year ago when the Cavs lost their opener to the Bulls...

You guys are really going easy on the Warriors.

I mean the Cavs lost by 2 points on the road without Kyrie and this place roasted them like it was the biggest failure they'd ever seen.

I think its great that you guys have grown kinder :-)

i9t just is what it is....everyone knows - like LEbron said last night- its the world against cleveland....hey- lately- thats been cool! we just watched the Cavs get rings then watch one of the best pitchers in the game dominate the first game of the world series less than 200 yards away. they can all suck it! lol

I was expecting to see a bit more of MCCaw early. He is no big, but he is really long and energetic. I think he can definitely help contribute some perimeter defense in the second unit. Livingston and aight also played poorly last night.

Maybe give my SPURS a tiny little bit of credit please

They are the only team to beat the Warriors four times in the last 3 years of this W's excellence run

Call me crazy.....

But, maybe this is also possibly about the Spurs being a reasonably good team.

This is not just about GS magically being bad. They did not play the 76ers after all.
