Guys I solved the financial crisis facing the US Postal Service. Hold onto your hats.
First of all postage stays the same.
Secondly, your mail gets delivered to your local post office for free. You can pick it up daily or weekly whatever you prefer. If you still want the mail delivered to your house it costs you $1 or $2 a month. The monthly fee is waived for people over 55 and disabled people. Hundreds of millions of dollars raised per month, problems solved.

You're welcome.

(anyone know how to contact the postmaster general?)

To pick up your mail, you are required to walk or run to the Post Office. BAM! Obesity problem solved, too.

Let's work on food issues tomorrow and we should have world peace cranked out by Sunday, Comeds.

(PS - Your idea is a good one.)

I do like that idea, Comeds. Even a poor graduate student like myself could afford to pay that fee.

lol, I thought of it the other day. To me it sounds like a fair idea, naturally I do not know all of the financial problems of the USPS though.

Awesome. And to raise additional funds they could offer $1 shredding and recycling at the post office should you decide to dispose of all your junk mail right there when you go to pick up your legit mail.

And since they will have the shredders, $5 per pound for any paper you drag in.

What's with the preggo smiley?

If I said I was eating chocolate chip cookies with pickles and cream cheese, then yes I would be the first pregnant man.

I was hungry and stuck doing a double at work, so I housed an entire box. :sly:
