Maybe the link or story isn't working, but it's not showing the cartoons. As a general rule I'm against people getting fired for hanging pictures or cartoons, but it just says they are "offensive", it doesn't say what was on them. Furthermore, it doesn't say if it was a college, elementary school, high school, etc.

some of the images I saw on TV had Obama with a simulated gun shot wound to his temple, him as a monkey type character, one has him on a Obama Season Open poster with bugs bunny and Daffy Duck arguing over it. some can be construed as racist, some can be construed as violent.

Like it or not, some of those could bring the attention of the Secret Service. I don't think anyone should take jokes or quasi-threats about killing the President lightly. Just not a good idea.

im in total agreement with that. I dont think we are getting 100% of the story but that is worth an investigation whether you like your president or not.

Why is it horseshit? The assignment is fine, but when a student draws a picture of the President as an ape or draws a picture of him with a bullet in his head, you send that kid to the guidance counselor and you alert the parents, you don't hang the work in the fucking hallway.

Awful judgment by that teacher.

I don't really know where to put this, so it's going here.

There's this iPad app called SongPop, it's basically a "name that tune" game. You get five songs, about seven seconds to correctly guess the artist or song title, and you get points based on how many you get right and how fast you answer. I don't really play iPad apps, but this one is pretty addictive. My wife has a bunch of games going, most with her friends and sisters, and we will play together for entertainment. Her one sister is not very good. If she "starts" the song challenge, she usually gets none right, or sometimes one. If we start, and she goes second, she usually gets them all right, but much slower than us. Sometimes she gets a few wrong though (when you go second, you can see what the first player guessed, so it can help you out). We've been playing her for about two or three weeks.

Just last night, she sent my wife this text:

"omg i just realized iv been playing songpop with the volume off. it's sooo much easier with it on!!"

How? I mean... just... how? HOW?
